As September turns to October, the typical attrition that inflicts NFL rosters is well underway. And Wednesday brought with it plenty of updates, with the news good for some teams, and downright dreadful for others: - Packers RB James Starks will miss this week's home against Detroit with an injured knee, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. According to the report, coach Mike McCarthy said of Starks, "I would put him in the category of a couple of weeks." In Week 2, Starks became the first Green Bay running to rush for at least 100 yards in a game since October of 2010, going for 132 yards against Washington. The next week at Cincinnati, Starks was injured in the team's 34-30 loss. The team was holding out hope the Week 4 bye week would be enough time for Starks to heal. - The Chiefs may be unbeaten but they are not immune from the injury bug.
