Oi vey… my first column that has to do with the circus that is the J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS! The (3-5) Jets head west to take on the 12th Man and the (5-4) Seattle Seahawks.
Cornerback Antonio Cromartie went on air this week guaranteeing that the Jets will make the playoffs. Although the AFC is the weaker of the 2 conferences, and I do see a 9-7 team making the playoffs, the Jets will have their work cut out for them righting the ship. The Seahawks have one of the most unique home field advantages in recent memory with a stout defense and an electrifying fan atmosphere.
The Seahawks boast one of the best secondaries in the league allowing barely over 200 yards per game. With the defense that will make it tough for an already shaky Mark Sanchez to focus, expect defense to rule the day in the 4pm slate of games.
Although the stats show that the Jets offense have put up more yards than the Seahawks, it will be a defensive battle in a low scoring, field goal game.
Look for Seattle to push the line with their running attack with Marshawn Lynch to the tune of 90 yards and a touchdown. Russell Wilson is efficient and makes smart, accurate throws. He is mobile and knows how to move the chains without getting into danger.
The Jets offense will struggle to score, or even move the ball. The running game will be shut down by the front line, and the Jets don’t have any talent at receiver to get past the fortress which is the Seahawks secondary. They will have to settle for field goals, which will keep the game close.
I dont expect much for fantasy points, which the except of Marshawn Lynch and the two defenses, and field goal kickers (Steve Hauschuka, and Nick Folk)
I think the Jets have a nightmare matchup this week. Pete Carroll knows Sanchez better than anyone with their days together at USC. He will make Mark’s day miserable in that atmosphere. We might even see some Tebow-Time if the game gets out of hand, which will most certainly bring the circus full force into next weekend.

Antonio Cromartie did not mince words when coming to the defense of the team's quarterback, saying the following about Mark Sanchez detractors: "They can kiss my a**."
After Sunday’s loss to the Seahawks, New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromarite had some choice words for those who want to see quarterback Mark Sanchez benched in favor of Tim Tebow.

Confidence can be contagious. There’s no real proof to back up that idiom, but if the sentiment is true, then Antonio Cromartie might be the cure the Jets need.
Cromartie, one of the most confident defenders the NFL has to offer, expressed some optimistic thoughts on the Jets postseason chances on Thursday afternoon. So optimistic, in fact, he went as far as to say the underachieving...
The New York Jets are sure flexing their bye-week muscles.
First, it was head coach Rex Ryan who pumped up the 3-5 Jets' self-confidence by saying the team has the ability to make a last ditch run for a wild-card spot.
Now, it is Antonio Cromartie who is doing his best Joe Namath imitation by making a long-shot guarantee.
"The Jets will make the playoffs this year...
The debate still rages. No not the one for the White House, that one actually had a date where a decision was made. The New York Jets continue the saga of the quarterback position on a weekly basis. Now 3-6 the Jets season is in complete shambles yet players and coaches still rally around Mark Sanchez as the teams quarterback.
Antonio Cromartie was the latest to lash out at those...

The New York Jets season is slowly slipping away, and the poor play of Mark Sanchez is one of the many reasons why. New York has scored a total of 16 points in it’s past two games — losses to the Seattle Seahawks and Miami Dolphins. Sanchez had a passer rating of 53.2 over those two games, threw for only one touchdown and two interceptions and completed less than 50% of his passes...
