Saints-quarterback-drew
As Sunday of Week 10 finally reached it’s night cap, a big time shootout was expected as Dallas traveled to New Orleans and that expectation was met. By one team. The Saints steamrolled the Cowboys and Drew Brees was his normal, excellent self. In a night where Jimmy Graham was held to 59 yards and no touchdowns, which actually should earn Dallas some sort of trophy, Brees made use of Darren Sproles while the Ghost of Marques Colstons Past paid a visit to the fake football world in a Scrooge-like twist. On the other side of the ball, Tony Romo threw for just 128 yards and Dez Bryant had exactly one reception. So it goes in the land of fantasy footballing! Let’s take a further look at some highlights and lowlights from Week 10′s fantasy action:   Drew Brees: The Saints spread the ball out all over the field on Sunday night, and even got Mark Ingram involved. Yes, Mark Ingram! Brees hit Marques Colston, Darren Sproles, and Pierre Thomas all seven times each on his way to 392 passing y...

Saints Drew Brees Compares Johnny Manziel to Russell Wilson

It is going to be fascinating to watch Johnny Manziel at the next level. I have no clue if he will succeed or not, but it will be spectacular either way. Drew Brees thinks he has qualities similar to Russell Wilson. “He’s got all the playmaking ability to be a great player. [There are] guys like [Manziel] in this league. Russell Wilson and his ability to run the football and...

Brees leads Saints to rout of 'Boys

Nothing like nighttime in New Orleans to inspire a memorable performance from Drew Brees and the Saints. Playing Dallas' beleaguered defense didn't hurt, either. Brees completed 34 of 41 passes for 392 yards and four touchdowns, and the Saints beat the Cowboys 49-17 on Sunday night. The Saints (7-2) had an NFL-record 40 first downs and a franchise-record 625 total yards...

A scary moment occurred during Sunday Night Football in the Big Easy.  Saints QB Drew Brees lets one rip deep in the endzone for Benjamin Watson.  It appeared he had the completion, but went completely limp as his head hit the ground.  He would eventually come to and appeared to be responsive to the medical staff.  Check it out.   Follow Us On Twitter!  @DownandDistance Sports...

Drew Brees, Saints Rout Cowboys, Hold On To First

Last night's game was supposed to be a high scoring affair. Tony Romo vs. Drew Brees. Well, Drew Brees showed up. Mark Ingram showed up. Jerry Jones showed up, the only bad thing, Jerry Jones must have forgot to pay for his team to fly to New Orleans as well.Let us start off with this, the Cowboys aren't what they used to be and have not been for some time now. The Cowboys...

Brees, Saints set records, torch Cowboys 49-17

Sean Payton had a choice to make. The Saints coach could elect to punt on fourth-and-5 from the Dallas 42, or he could try to get the one last first down New Orleans needed to set an NFL record. Only two minutes remained and victory was assured, so Payton figured he couldn't deny his players a chance to make history. He called for a run behind right guard Jahri Evans, and...

A sitdown with Saints QB Drew Brees

Saints quarterback Drew Brees spoke with FOXSports.com in a telephone interview about a variety of topics including his tight end Jimmy Graham, safety in the NFL and his remaining goals. Brees, speaking on behalf of Tide Laundry Detergent, was thoughtful and responsive in his answers: FOX Sports: Do you want to accomplish having the all-time passing yards record? You're about...

Brees: Manziel 'absolutely' NFL starter

No quarterback in NFL history has shed the dreaded "undersized" label and reached historic heights better than Drew Brees. But the Saints' All-Pro signal-caller also knows that without that prototype size, leadership, preparation and talent are a must to make it in the NFL. So perhaps no current player in the NFL knows what's in store for Texas A&M star Johnny...

Huge Second Quarter Keeps Saints Perfect at Home

New Orleans, LA— Demarco Murray pounded his way into the end zone on a 7 yard run to put the Dallas Cowboys up 10-7 with just over 14 minutes to go in the first half. Then Drew Brees takeover happened. Brees responded with 3 straight touchdown ending drives to end the first half to go up […]

Expectations, More Than Anything, Are Hurting Dallas Cowboys

It wasn't pretty for the Dallas Cowboys last night, and truth be told, it hasn't been pretty for a long time in Dallas. Fans of the Cowboys went into the game with the New Orleans Saints expecting to compete with Drew Brees, Rob Ryan and Sean Payton but once again felt the sting of disappointment from a blowout loss.Perhaps that's the biggest disappointment of all for...

Saints Nation: Offensive Player Grades vs. Cowboys

When you break the NFL for most first downs in a game in NFL history, that probably means everyone played pretty well on your offensive unit. The Saints were able to get their 40th first down on a 4th down run to end the game (39 was the previous record). Enough can't be said for a top to bottom complete performance where everyone chipped in. Drew Brees: A+ for the game...

Who’s to Blame for Cowboys Defense: Jones or Kiffin?

The Dallas Cowboys aren’t at a crossroads and they aren’t in peril. Flatly, they just aren’t any good.On Sunday night in New Orleans, the Cowboys defense was beat to sleep. They gave up a franchise record 625 yards, which by the way was a two week old record.
