Welcome to turkey week, where RG3 returns home to lead the (4-6) Washington Redskins into ‘the house that Jerry built’, to take on the (5-5) Dallas Cowboys, in an NFC East tilt. The ‘Skins roll into Dallas with their confidence high, after trouncing the division rival Eagles on Sunday, while the Cowboys are simply happy to be at .500, narrowly knocking off the Browns in OT. RG3 dismantled the Eagles last week, despite only throwing the ball 15 times. He tallied 200 yards and 4 TD’s. Also added 80+ yards on the ground. The rookie is living up to his preseason expectations, giving the Redskins a much needed talent at the QB position. What makes his season that much more special, is the mediocre receiving core he is working with. Santana Moss is a vet who is well on the decline, and Pierre Garcon hasn’t yet regained the magic he had in Indy, but names like Logan Paulsen, Aldrick Robinson and Darrel Young, these aren’t exactly household names in the fantasy world. Griffin is the real deal. On the back end, Alfred Morris has been a nice treat for Washington as well. The rookie out of Florida Atlantic has emerged as the bonified #1 back in a Shanahan system that’s more confusing than a chicken in a pillow factory. Morris may not be hitting pay dirt on a regular basis, but he is boasting a moderate 4.7 YPC. Pretty good for a first year back. Dallas’ up and down season continues as they ride their first two game win streak of the year, into Thursday’s matchup. Tony Romo is 5-0 on Thanksgiving Thursday, and the ‘Boys have beaten Washington in all 6 Thanksgiving matchups. Streeter Lecka/Getty Images Demarco Murray is expected to miss his 6th straight game with a foot injury, which should put Romo in line for another 50+ pass day. Witten will continue to be the primary target, but Romo has done a good job of spreading the ball around. Look for more of the same against a leaky Redskins pass defense. Dez Bryant seems to have finally put his personal life aside (temporarily at least) and bought into the Cowboys way of life. With his strength and speed, Bryant can be a top 10 receiver in the NFL, when he wants to. Prediction – Expect the Cowboys D to gobble up the Redskins receivers and for Romo to continue his turkey day dominance. Cowboys win 28-21.

Rob Ryan: Hopefully Robert Griffin III has a bad Thanksgiving

Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan faces a tough task Thursday in trying to stop Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III. “He is a special player,” said Ryan via The Dallas Morning News. “That’s why they traded half a team to get him. Obviously, he’s a tremendous athlete and they say he is a hell of a kid. I don’t like him, but I know he is very...

Cowboys playing with fire to throw deep

As the Cowboys navigate past the 10 game barrier in their season and in to the stretch drive, we now have enough data to begin to learn about this team based on what they do well and more importantly, it seems, what they don't do well at all. We know that this team has the fewest 10 play drives in the NFL. Of the Cowboys 112 drives, only 11 have lasted 10 plays. That is lower...

Felix Jones Nursing Sore Knee

Cowboys halfback Felix Jones missed practice on Tuesday because of a sore knee.Fantasy Spin:He was originally slated to be the team's starter Thursday against Washington but now his availability is somewhat in question. Lance Dunbar and Phillip Tanner both saw first team reps in practice on Tuesday. They'll probably split carries Thursday if Jones can't play.

RG3 sparkling, steady as 'Skins top Cowboys, 38-31

Robert Griffin III will always be RG3. That didn't stop Washington coach Mike Shanahan from trying something a little different after his rookie quarterback was equal parts sparkling and steady in his Texas debut. ''He's kind of like `Cool Hand Luke,''' Shanahan said. ''He doesn't get too upset about anything.'' The Heisman Trophy...

Chick Fight: Redskins vs Cowboys

The Thanksgiving holiday reminds us all to reflect on our blessings while enjoying a delightful feast of fatty foods, begrudging the seat at the kiddie table and avoiding that uncle who spits while he talks. It’s enough to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside! But this great American tradition wouldn’t be complete without a little trash talk and tackling. (And we’re not...
