Welcome to turkey week, where RG3 returns home to lead the (4-6) Washington Redskins into ‘the house that Jerry built’, to take on the (5-5) Dallas Cowboys, in an NFC East tilt.
The ‘Skins roll into Dallas with their confidence high, after trouncing the division rival Eagles on Sunday, while the Cowboys are simply happy to be at .500, narrowly knocking off the Browns in OT.
RG3 dismantled the Eagles last week, despite only throwing the ball 15 times. He tallied 200 yards and 4 TD’s. Also added 80+ yards on the ground. The rookie is living up to his preseason expectations, giving the Redskins a much needed talent at the QB position. What makes his season that much more special, is the mediocre receiving core he is working with. Santana Moss is a vet who is well on the decline, and Pierre Garcon hasn’t yet regained the magic he had in Indy, but names like Logan Paulsen, Aldrick Robinson and Darrel Young, these aren’t exactly household names in the fantasy world. Griffin is the real deal.
On the back end, Alfred Morris has been a nice treat for Washington as well. The rookie out of Florida Atlantic has emerged as the bonified #1 back in a Shanahan system that’s more confusing than a chicken in a pillow factory. Morris may not be hitting pay dirt on a regular basis, but he is boasting a moderate 4.7 YPC. Pretty good for a first year back.
Dallas’ up and down season continues as they ride their first two game win streak of the year, into Thursday’s matchup. Tony Romo is 5-0 on Thanksgiving Thursday, and the ‘Boys have beaten Washington in all 6 Thanksgiving matchups.

Demarco Murray is expected to miss his 6th straight game with a foot injury, which should put Romo in line for another 50+ pass day. Witten will continue to be the primary target, but Romo has done a good job of spreading the ball around. Look for more of the same against a leaky Redskins pass defense.
Dez Bryant seems to have finally put his personal life aside (temporarily at least) and bought into the Cowboys way of life. With his strength and speed, Bryant can be a top 10 receiver in the NFL, when he wants to.
Prediction – Expect the Cowboys D to gobble up the Redskins receivers and for Romo to continue his turkey day dominance. Cowboys win 28-21.
