Paul J. Everette, Flickr Creative Commons The Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Bengals square off tomorrow afternoon at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. Both teams have security within their division, with the Bengals having a three-game lead and the Colts maintaining a two-game lead. Both are considered viable threats in the fast-approaching NFL playoffs. For their Week 14 matchup, the Colts have a relatively healthy roster. The only two players that are guaranteed to miss the game are right guard Jeff Linkenbach and defensive tackle Ricky Jean-Francois. The injury to Linkenbach is crucial in this match-up, as the Bengals have 18 sacks over the last five-games, and will look to plant Colts' second-year quarterback Andrew Luck on the ground early and often. The Colts' secondary may see cornerback Greg Toler for the first time in five games, as Toler has not suited up since the Colts' 39-33 victory over the Denver Broncos in Week seven. Toler has been a light part...

Indianapolis Colts: underperform while battling the referees

Let me get something straight: I am not saying that the referees are the reason the Indianapolis Colts lost to the Cincinnati Bengals, but it surely was a significant setback to their cause. However, before we get to my rant about how the referees were scoring points themselves, there are some other topics to address first. The defense is a huge, huge issue. How is it possible to...

Andrew Luck Breaks Out vs. Bengals

Colts QB Andrew Luck woke up in the second half to finish with 326 yards and four touchdowns Sunday against Cincinnati.Fantasy Spin:It was easily Luck's best fantasy performance of the season. Despite losing for the third time in five games, Indianapolis was able to wrap up the AFC South crown thanks to Denver's win over Tennessee. If the playoffs started today, the Colts...

Ahmad Bradshaw Plans on Playing 2014

I saw a familiar face in the Colts' locker room today. Running back Ahmad Bradshaw is back at the Colts' facility this week after making considerable headway in his rehabilitation from season-ending neck surgery. It's been quite a while since he's spent any length of time around the facility, but he clearly was happy to be back.More reason for his good spirits: The...

Peyton Manning Wins the AFC South for the Indianapolis Colts One Last Time

The Indianapolis Colts were spanked by the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday. Any fan that can't admit that is either delusional, drunk, delusional and drunk, or just flat out lying. They looked nothing like a team that is playoff ready nor one that deserves any kind of accolades at this point in the season. So it is only appropriate that their former quarterback--yes, Peyton Manning...

Colts aren't the same without WR Wayne

The Colts aren't the same team without Reggie Wayne. In the five games since Wayne tore his right ACL against the Denver Broncos, Indianapolis is averaging 19.6 points. In the seven games Wayne played, the Colts averaged 26.7 points. The offensive line has failed to protect quarterback Andrew Luck. T.Y. Hilton, the new No. 1 receiver, is adjusting to being double teamed, and...

Trent Richardson: The backup

It seems like only yesterday the Cleveland Browns drafted Trent Richardson in the 2012 NFL Draft with hopes of improving the team after posting a disappointing record of 4-12 during the previous season in 2011, landing them fourth place in the AFC North. Fast forward to the 2013 season, the Browns stunned the entire NFL audience by trading Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts in...

Colts still believe in Trent Richardson ‘long term’

getty images Trent Richardson may no longer be at the top of the depth chart for the Indianapolis Colts at running back but he still fits into their long term plan. The Colts pulled the trigger on a trade with the Cleveland Browns to get Richardson. After weeks of struggling the Colts sent him to the bench in favor of Donald Brown. While it would be easy to chalk the trade for Richardson...

Colts RB Donald Brown flourishes as starter

Running back Donald Brown was a first-round draft choice in 2009, the 27th player selected. He has been an occasional starter, a breakaway runner, a backup, a special teams player, and a whipping boy of fans, media and bloggers. He also is, speaking from appearances, the guy the Indianapolis Colts don't want but can't do without. With Joseph Addai gone last season, Brown...

Colts RB Trent Richardson ‘humbled’ by losing his starting job

Tweet A lot was expected when Trent Richardson, the third overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, was traded by the Cleveland Browns to the Indianapolis Colts in September. Unfortunately for the Colts and Richardson those expectations have yet to be reached, leading to Richardson being demoted to second string in favor of Donald Brown last week. Richardson...

Manning, Broncos win allows Colts to clinch AFC South

getty images The Indianapolis Colts have been struggling of late. They needed someone to step up. A win over Cincinnati would earn the Colts the AFC South. So on Sunday the Peyton Manning took a knee and the Colts won the AFC South. While the Colts were clobbered by the Bengals someone had their back. The Broncos win over the Tennessee Titans was enough to give the Colts yet another...

Colts vs. Bengals: 3 Questions with the Enemy

Blake: The Colts and more specifically Andrew Luck haven’t looked the same since Reggie Wayne went down with an injury. Can the Colts overcome this loss?Jake: Whether or not the Colts turn the offensive woes around is mainly on the shoulders of the coaching staff. Despite losing two starting running backs, the starting left guard, the starting tight AND the team’s top receiver...

Peyton Manning tells cold weather critics to shove it ‘where the sun don’t shine’

Peyton Manning has a message for those who say he can’t play in cold weather: stick it. The narrative that Manning can’t play in the cold has been going on his entire career. He spent most of his career playing indoors with the Indianapolis Colts, and he lost when he had to go outdoors in […]

Double A Breakdown: Week 14 - Colts vs Bengals

The 8-4 Indianapolis Colts will travel to Cincinnati to play the 8-4 Bengals. The Colts will look to make it 2 wins in a row, and the Bengals look to make it 3 in a row. The game is expected to be played in cold, potentially snowy conditions, which should only add to the excitement. The winner of this matchup will also have an advantage at getting the #3 seed in the AFC.   What...
