Found December 12, 2012 on Checkdown Chatter:
With yesterday’s news that Cam Cameron has been relieved of his post I’m left feeling a bit off. This must be how Jay Leno felt in the waning days of George W. Bush’s presidency… suddenly, I’m going to need all new material. In my own personal version of the #FireNorv campaign I have been fairly critical of Cameron throughout his reign as OC of the Ravens. Baltimore checks in at number eight this week and how quickly new coordinator Jim Caldwell adapts will go a long way to determining their direction moving forward...

Rushed Out: Firing Cam Cameron Huge For The Baltimore Ravens

Every since I moved to Baltimore in 2010, I have heard nothing but endless criticism of Cam Cameron and his play calling abilities.  There was no doubt Cameron was successful with previous teams, and the Ravens fans weren’t scared to admit this fact, but he was not utilizing Baltimore’s weapons the way the fan base wanted. As the seasons wore on, the fan base agreed that Cam...

Caldwell relishes chances to run Ravens offense

Don't expect Jim Caldwell to incorporate the triple-option or a variety of trick plays in his first NFL game as an offensive coordinator. Caldwell will be running the Baltimore Ravens' attack on Sunday against Denver. He assumed the post on Monday after head coach John Harbaugh fired Cam Cameron. With only three weeks to go in the regular season, Caldwell plans to tweak...

Caldwell to remain with Ravens

Jim Caldwell will remain the Baltimore Ravens' offensive coordinator next season. Caldwell moved from quarterbacks coach to offensive coordinator on Dec. 9 after coach John Harbaugh fired Cam Cameron. With Caldwell directing the offense, the Ravens have won three straight playoff games to advance to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2000 season. This is the first...

Baltimore Ravens: Decision To Fire Cam Cameron Was Right Move At Right Time

Let the drama begin for the Baltimore Ravens. After four seasons in Baltimore, Cam Cameron was fired by the Ravens Monday. A change many spectators were expecting a year ago. Former Indianapolis Colts head coach Jim Caldwell will get the honor of inheriting an offense that is talented enough to win a Super Bowl. However, with Cameron out of the picture, the focus of the Ravens...

Blame Cam Cameron...for what?

Usually a team fires its offensive coordinator when it is mired in the depths of a losing season. The Ravens are 9-4 with a 2-game lead in their division race. What caused the panic that resulted in the firing of OC Cam Cameron, who's been with the Ravens since 2008 and has been a part of 5 playoff season drives since then ? My own theory is Joe Flacco wants to run no-huddle...

Timing of Cameron firing risky for Ravens

Okay, I saw this week how the Baltimore Ravens made the fairly dramatic in-season move of replacing their offensive coordinator. Cam Cameron went down for a number of alleged reasons, including his offense’s inconsistency and, interestingly enough, his apparent unwillingness to get the ball in the hands of star running back Ray Rice. Here’s my question: Just how many touches...

Flacco 'stunned' by Cameron firing

The firing of offensive coordinator Cam Cameron came as a surprise to quarterback Joe Flacco. "I was definitely stunned," Flacco said. Flacco wasn't alone in that sentiment, including Pro Bowl running back Ray Rice. "This is something that I think is a wake-up call for everybody," Rice said. "You never know when your day is going to be called. Nobody...

Raven Fire Offensive Coordinator Cam Cameron

Some will say its desperate, one thing is for sure, John Harbaugh is not waiting for things to get worse to realize he should’ve made a change months before. The Baltimore Ravens fired their offensive coordinator Monday morning and promoted Jim Caldwell who was the teams’ quarterbacks coach. The firing [...]
