Each week we'll be offering some insights and conclusions based on what we saw in the All-22 tape. We'll share some general observations, analysis of key plays (both good and bad) and a look ahead to what the opposing unit has in the week ahead. With that, let's get out our Jump to Conclusions Mat. …The overall grades for the game may be deceiving as four out of the five offensive lineman had an average grade just above 0 with the exception of Locklear.  This isn’t to say they played a solid game by any means. They have admitted this much. They were serviceable in pass pro and at times the pass pro was above average. Locklear graded out fairly favorably in pass pro (especially considering he was locked up with D. Ware most of the night) and this showed on the tape. With that being said, Locklear received 11 negative grades in the game, the most of the night for any OL. He was followed by Boothe with 10. Remember, in the finely tuned machine that is an NFL OL all it tak...

Giants’ David Wilson says the media won’t let him forget about his fumble

New York Giants running back David Wilson says the worst thing to come out of him being benched last week is that  the media won’t let him forget about it. “They won’t let me forget about it,” Wilson said, per Newsday’s Tom Rock via ProFootballTalk. “I’m trying to move on and every day someone comes and asks me about it.” Wilson is surprised at all the attention...

Giants, Tuck still disgusted over Week 1 loss

Justin Tuck hasn't been sleeping well the past five days. The two-time Pro Bowler and the New York Giants defensive captain is upset how the defending Super Bowl champions opened the season against the Dallas Cowboys last week. Tom Coughlin's team lost 24-17, but the score was not indicative of the way the Cowboys dominated. Tony Romo threw three touchdown passes. DeMarco...

Buccaneers' coaches know the drill in New York

TAMPA, Fla. -- There are a lot of ties between the Bucs and Giants that could affect Sunday's game at MetLife Stadium. Bucs offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan is the former Giants quarterbacks coach who worked closely with Eli Manning the past two seasons. Tampa Bay defensive coordinator Bill Sheridan had the same position with the Giants for one season several years ago and...

Buccaneers-Giants Preview

The New York Giants have had plenty of extra time to think about their lackluster effort in their opener. Justin Tuck can't even get it off his mind at night. The defensive end has lost sleep over New York's ugly loss, and he and his teammates are eager to begin moving past it as they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. The Giants began the defense of their Super Bowl...

The Fantasy Football Chameleon – Week 2 For 2012 Fantasy Football

With Week 1 complete other than the MNF double-header, odds are that your league mates are rushing to the Waiver Wire looking for the next Victor Cruz. If your league is full of irrational Giants fans, then the real Victor Cruz might be on that Waiver Wire after his 3-drop performance last Wednesday. Some of the pickups you make this week could lead you to the fantasy playoffs, and...

Few secrets in Giants-Buccaneers matchup

Theoretically, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who will come into MetLife Stadium to face the 0-1 Giants this weekend, should be fairly easy to prepare for. After all, the Bucs are led by former Rutgers University head coach Greg Schiano, who tabbed a pair of former assistant coaches from Tom Coughlin's staff, Mike Sullivan and Bill Sheridan, to be his offensive and defensive coordinators...
