Robert Griffin III
News and notes for week 3 QB rankings
Robert Griffin III – RG3 is officially the highest scoring fantasy QB through the first 2 weeks. He receives a HUGE boost in the rankings to must-start status. Should you start RG3? Yes as long as he plays this well.
Matt Schaub – Schaub dropped the furthest in our rankings as he is down to 27th overall for week 3. Averaging just over 10 pts a week won’t cut it for most fantasy owners, and he is not even a recommended option in 2 QB formats. That Texans run game is so good, they don’t need to rely on their QB’s arm.
Kevin Kolb – After leading the Arizona Cardinals to a win over the New England Patriots in week 2, Kolb receives a boost into the top 30. He successfully lead the final drive in week 1, and now with a solid road win in week 2 he could hold on to the job the rest of the season.
Matt Cassel – Cassel has had the same formula for the first 2 weeks, play from behind and throw the ball around. While you might not think of Cassel as a top 15 option at QB, his team will be behind so often this season, that he puts up solid stats, especially in the 4th quarter.

Every team has injuries, but the Bengals are one of those teams that may have more than anyone. After putting two starters on the offensive line on IR before the season, Travelle Wharton and Kyle Cook (though the latter can be reactivated later this season), the Bengals were without 4 key contributors with injury last week as Carlos Dunlap, Jason Allen, Dre Kirkpatrick, and Bernard...
CINCINNATI - Besides drafting two rookies who have yet to crack the regular rotation, the Bengals kept their offseason search for a receiver to complement A.J. Green in-house.
Sunday's results indicate they didn't find one. They found two or three.
A depleted Browns secondary allowed Green to catch 7 passes for 58 yards Sunday, but the daggers came from the other guys...
The Cincinnati Bengals gave Vontaze Burfict his first taste of NFL action on Sunday against the Browns. He was originally expected to start in place of the injured Thomas Howard, but the Bengals opened up in a nickel package so he ended up coming off the bench and playing 22 snaps at strong-side linebacker.
Despite reports prior to the game that Burfict would be the Bengals starter...
CINCINNATI (AP) -- The Bengals have found plenty of help for A.J. Green.
The Pro Bowl receiver has been the focus of opposing defenses in the first two games, giving the other receivers a chance to emerge. So far, they've done very well.
Andy Dalton threw three touchdown passes Sunday during a 34-27 win over Cleveland, but the biggest plays didn't involve Green. Andrew Hawkins...
CINCINNATI - After a tryout with the Cleveland Browns in the spring of 2008 didn't lead to a contract, Andrew Hawkins went to work.
He caddied at a high-dollar country club. He worked at a factory that made windmill engines. He volunteered with the University of Toledo football team and the school's athletic marketing department, and he served an internship with the Detroit...
CINCINNATI - Cincinnati Bengals middle linebacker Rey Maualuga said he and Cleveland Browns rookie running back Trent Richardson have no beef and that his comments last week about Richardson were taken out of context.
Last week, Maualuga said Richardson "didn't do nothing spectacular" in Week One, when he rushed just 19 times for 39 yards in the Browns' narrow...

The Headline: Dalton’s big day gives Bengals bragging rights in Ohio
For a game between two teams that looked down on their luck, this one was a surprisingly entertaining game to watch as it was relatively even throughout the day and had its share of big plays. After the Bengals first drive stalled, Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones electrified...
Bold Prediction No. 1: RGIII excites the “cult crazed” Skins fans and statistically lights it upAfter two games, Griffin is second on the team in rushing and has thrown for 526 yards. But what stands out is his 71 percent completion rate with three touchdowns and one interception. Skins Nation has been waiting for a quarterback to lead them back to relevance, and Griffin will...
Not even a breakout game by Cleveland's rookie playmakers could change the outcome of Ohio's intrastate series.
Adam ''Pacman'' Jones returned Cleveland's first punt 81 yards for a touchdown Sunday, and Andy Dalton matched his career high with three touchdown passes, leading the Cincinnati Bengals to a 34-27 victory in their one-sided rivalry.
Talk about a true, yet misleading headline.Enjoy it while it lasts my fellow Bengal sufferers. Cincinnati's finest professional football team finds itself in a three-way tie for first-place in the AFC North with the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers. Hey, a three-way with the Ravens and Steelers! Just like you always dreamed about. It's even better than putting chili...
Madieu Williams, Taylor Mays, And Rahim Moore All Fined $21,000 -
Playing safety in the NFL can get expensive if you can’t learn to avoid collisions with opposing players’ heads, and three NFL safeties learned that the hard way on Friday. Redskins S Madieu Williams, Bengals S Taylor Mays and Broncos S Rahim Moore have all been fined $21,000 for hits to opposing players’ helmets...
In a game that was supposed to be one of the more boring games in the NFL this week the clash of Ohio turned out to be a high scoring barn burner. Both teams wanted to come out and show that last weeks performances were just anomalies and they could really play. In a game with many heroes and no zeros I thought we would do an ode to Hockey giving out the three stars of the game...
Cleveland Browns vs Cincinnati Bengals
September 16, 2012
Last week I said it would be a few weeks until our rookie-led offense started clicking. After the 5.1 rating disaster last week, Weeden needs to pick it up quicker than that. A few more performances like that and there will be...
CINCINNATI -- Andy Dalton threw for 318 yards and three touchdowns to three different receivers as the Bengals bounced back from a Week 1 thrashing on Monday Night Football with a 34-27 shootout win against Cleveland on Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium. Dalton had touchdown throws of 10 yards to A.J. Green, 44 yards to Brandon Tate and 50 yards to Andrew Hawkins to offset the comeback...
