Week 4 is my favorite time to start laying down some big money wagers, as we have seen trends with teams and previous weeks have given teams time to fully jel together and get into full game mode.

Let’s take a look at the Matchups in week 4 of the NFL and I will give you my predictions on who will cover the point spread.

The New England Patriots lost a hard fought battle against the Baltimore Ravens last week and they will now go up against a slightly weaker team in the Buffalo Bills. The Bills have had a hard time keeping rhythm as the loss to Fred Jackson in Week 1 and just when CJ Spiller was playing at his best, he goes down with an injury.

Possible good news for the Bills is they might get Freddy back, to play the Pats, but he will not be 100% and it will not be enough for them to win. I will be taking the Patriots to the bank on this one to cover the 3.5 point spread as road favorites. Check out my blog as game time approaches for my updated NFL Betting Picks.

Detroit came oh so close to pulling out a victory in Nashville, but a late game musique cost them. They now face an opponent who fell on top of the world after a week 3 victory against the 49er’s. This is a must win for Detroit, and as long as Stafford is at the helm I think their aerial assault will be enough to get them the win, and cover the 4 point spread.

My upset of the week will come from the black hole of Okland, as Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos will look to get back on track. Although we would all love to see Peyton get back to his old form, it seems like that might be a few weeks away. The Broncos are still unable to consistently hit the long bombs and their running game is a cluster of wante be backs. Darren McFadden looks as good as ever, and I expect the Raiders to ground pound their way to a 24-21 victory.

To round up the Sunday games I will be taking:

Atlanta (-7.5) over Carolina.
San Francisco destroying the Jets.
Kansas City will be a good home dog team against the Chargers.
Houston will get by Tennessee but not cover the large 12.5 spread
Seattle to squeak by the Rams.
Arizona beats Miami by 10.
Cincinnati wins this one 34 – 24 at Jacksonville
Green Bay will send New Orleans 0-4 but not by more than a field goal.
Washington with the upset over the Bucs.
New York Giants to win against the Eagles, with a prediction of Michael Vick leaving this game due to injury.

That is how I see this weeks games playing out in the NFL, remember to play smart and wager conservatively, we still have plenty more weeks ahead in the NFL football season.
