Last Week’s Results: Week 4 Fantasy: Who’s In The Club Quarterback Alex Smith v. Buffalo Smith has a good matchup at home this week against the Bills, who have given up 9 TDs through the air on the season, and 270 yards passing per game. Although he went without a TD in last week’s blowout, I’m expecting a couple scores this week. Smith is a low-risk replacement for owners who have Romo or Stafford, who are both on byes.
  • Also In The Club: Joe Flacco @ Kansas City
Running Back Cedric Benson @ Indianapolis Benson is a lock for at least 20 touches and 100 total yards. A TD would be the icing.
  • Also In The Club: Ahmad Bradshaw v. Cleveland
Wide Receiver Domenik Hixon v. Cleveland With both Knicks (knee) and Ramses Barden (concussion) out this week, and Cleveland’s star corner Joe Haden still serving his suspension, Hixon will be in for another big day. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him top 100 yards receiving for the second straight week.
  • Also In The Club: Malcolm Floyd @ New Orleans & James Jones @ Indianapolis
Tight End Dennis Pitta @ Kansas City Pitta is coming off of his worst game of the season, where he failed to catch a single pass. I fully expect a bounce back effort this week in Kansas City. The Chiefs have allowed tight ends to score against them in three of their four games this season, and the team is tied for second in the NFL in total passing touchdowns given up (10). Defense Pittsburgh Steelers v. Philadelphia The Steelers defense has been a major disappointment this season, but there are a number of things working in their favor this week: (1) Both Troy Polamalu and James Harrison are set to return.
(2) The team is coming off of a bye and playing at home.
(3) Facing the possibility of a 1-3 start to the season, the intensity will be there.
(4) Michael Vick has a knack for sacks and turnovers.

Packers hope Benson can create balance

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The beginning of a three-game road trip for the Packers kicks off this Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. Looking to improve to a 3-2 record and get above .500 for the first time this season, Green Bay will have to defeat an emotional Colts team that is dealing with the news of their head coach being out of action while battling leukemia. Here are five things...

'Happy and Grateful,' Benson Getting on Track

Cedric Benson turned in his third consecutive strong performance on Sunday, and one play in particular had him saying playing in Green Bay is a "blessing." Suddenly, a 1,000-yard season is a possibility as he gets acclimated to the scheme and blockers.

CBS Sports' Colts Game Preview

Colts Authority Daily Links Evan Hilbert of has a nice preview for this week's matchup against Green Bay.  This week, like many prognosticators, he is predicting a Packers victory and notes that the Colts' defense is banged up, and, well Aaron Rodgers.  The Colts also need to stop Cedric Benson: The Colts' defense has been suspect against the run, at...

Green Bay Packers: A waking giant?

With the Green Bay Packers victory over the New Orleans Saints 28-27, one might ask if the Packers are a team with a scope on all opponents like a well trained sniper. In his Week 4 contest with the Saints and their own tactical specialist in Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers looked like the MVP of last year while only making one mistake in Green Bay’s 28-27 win. As noted before, the Packers...

Green Bay Packers vs. Indianapolis Colts: Three Bold Predictions

Both the Packers and Colts have had ups and downs in this young season. The combined record of these two teams is 3-4, meaning both clubs are in dire need of a victory. Week 2 saw both clubs bringing home good wins, when the Packers defeated the Bears 23-10 at Lambeau, while the Colts were victorious over the Vikings 23-20 in Indianapolis.  Since then, very little has been seen...
