Found October 29, 2012 on Juan Elway:
I’m not sure I’m the right guy anymore Juan… Week 8 Recap Mike Vick The Eagles are in free fall and more changes could be on the way after Reid dropped a game after having the bye week.  This just never happens.   It was hinted that we could see Nick Foles sooner rather than later this season and we just get him next Sunday.  Mike Vick said this after the game. “Obviously, he’s thinking about making a change at the quarterback position,” Vick said of Andy Reid. “The thing I do know, and I’ll go watch the film and I’ll evaluate myself, is that I’m giving us every opportunity to win. I’m trying my hardest. Something don’t go right when I want them to. Some things do. If that’s a decision that coach wants to make, then I support it.” Not exactly the words of a guy who sounds confident is retaining the starting job.  Foles has to be on out radar as the Saints and their putrid D are first up.  If Reid pulls the trigger on the switch, we should be ready to pounce. Jonathan Dwyer Dwyer looks like a pro-typical Steelers RB.  A big guy who gets downhill and makes tacklers pay.  Not many guys will be looking forward to taking him on one-on-one in the 4th quarter.  He now has back-to-back 100 yard efforts, something that Mendenhall has NEVER accomplished in his 5 year career. Andrew Luck Luck is now 4-3 as he picked up his first road win of the season.  He threw for 297 yards and the game winning score to Vick “Neo” Ballard who scored on this awesome play.  Lnuck is only behind RG3, Cam, and Vick in rushing yards for a QB this season and only RG3 has more rushing TDs. Calvin Johnson I don’t expect to see him at practice much this week, if at all.  His knee is not 100% by any stretch of the imagination.  Megatron: “It’s tough to stick my foot in the ground with my knee hurting, but that’s not excuse.”  The funny thing is Megatron stats are not as bad as one would think. Through 7 games a year ago, Calvin Johnson had 41 receptions and 679 yards. He has 41 for 638 through 7 this year, the difference is the lack of TDs.  The ultimate buy low is still a buy low. Titus Young and Ryan Broyles With Calvin demanding so much attention and Nate Burleson on IR, the youngsters stepped up big time today against a very tough defense.  Broyles has a respectable 3/37/1, but Young went off for 9/100/2.   Young finally stepped up after not breaking out early in the season and the switch could of finally turned on. Jamaal Charles 5 carries?  8 touches?  That’s how you use your best player Romeo.  Doesn’t sound like he knew what was going on either. Crennel on why JC only received 5 carries: ”Now, that I’m not exactly sure either.”   The Chiefs are a complete disaster and we can only hope that Dwayne Bowe gets shipped somewhere where he can be useful. Jason Witten Playing against him today in PPR leagues was torture.  Witten dropped 18 receptions on the Giants for a whopping 167 yards.  Not too shabby.  Miles Austin and Dez Bryant added 100 yards plus a piece and I’m sure you have seen Dez’s near miss TD with seconds left in the game. RG3 If you just looked at the box score, you wouldn’t get the whole story.  His ‘receivers’ dropped 10 passes in this game and Griffin finished with 16/34 for 177 yards.  He could of had another really solid game through the air, although the Steelers shut down the Redskins rushing attack.  There is only so far RG3 can go through the air without weapons or at least guys that can catch the damn ball. Trent Richardson I for one shyed away from Trent Richardson this week against a tough run defense and more importantly his ribs could of ended his day at any time.  I guess I was wrong.  T-Rich had a monster day and made a fool out of me.  Play him with confidence. Norved The Chargers were supossed to ‘dumb down’ their offense today because of the weather, and boy was it dumb.  Mathews fumbled, but at least he kept his job and the passing game was non-existent coming off of two week preparation.  Norv is on the hot seat, right where he should be.  I don’t care what the conditions, you have to come away with more than 6 points against the Browns. Cecil Shorts Shorts has looked like the go-to guy for Gabbert to me.  Even with Gabbert missing most of last week’s game, Shorts has 12/195/1 in the last 2 weeks.  He has plenty of favorable matchups left and the Jags will be throwing a ton. Steven Jackson For him and his fantasy owners a move to a team like Green Bay would be optimal for Action Jackson.   Alex Green has been ho-hum through the last three weeks and the Packers could really use the services.  Let’s see if there is any action by Tuesday. Michael Vick Could Lose Starting Job While Healthy

It would come as no surprise to see Nick Foles take over as the Philadelphia Eagles' starting quarterback should Michael Vick go down with yet another injury.  However, Vick may be replaced while healthy.  The Eagles fell to 3-4 on the season and coach Andy Reid is working on saving his own neck.  The only way to do that would be to save the Eagles' season. According...

Report: Vick likely headed to bench

In his postgame press conference, Michael Vick said that Andy Reid was considering a change at QB, and now it looks like that may, in fact, be the case.

QB Vick will stay in Eagles lineup

Michael Vick will remain the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. Coach Andy Reid announced the decision on Wednesday. The Eagles are off and Reid and Vick are not scheduled to address the media again until Thursday. Vick, the four-time Pro Bowl quarterback, has struggled this season and Philadelphia (3-4) has lost three straight games. Reid didn't endorse Vick...

The time for Eagles’ Andy Reid to panic is now

The Philadelphia Eagles longtime Head Coach Andy Reid is slowly coming to the realization that this season will be his last. Andy Reid on the hot seat rumors happen every year, but this season, more than any other season has shown signals from actions and rhetoric that this may be the last. Firstly, Juan Castillo fired during the Bye Week is a move that shows the desperation the...

Eagles to stick with Vick as McNabb chimes in

For all intents and purposes it looks as if Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will live to fight another day. As Philadelphia prepares to face another struggling group in the New Orleans Saints, coach Andy Reid certainly can’t handle trying to repair his suspect defense and work in a new signal caller in the same week. There must be order and the Saints can without a doubt offensively...

If there is anyone who can relate to the struggles Michael Vick is going through and the pressure he is under while playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, it’s Donovan McNabb. The Philadelphia media had its way with McNabb for years and there were times when the fans were worse. During an appearance on “NFL AM”  Tuesday morning, McNabb defended Vick in the wake of reports that...

Will Vick Be Benched?

I still won’t run the ball Juan… Andy Reid is coaching for his job this season and rumors are flying that he could bench starting QB Michael Vick in favor of rookie Nick Foles.  Foles is a highly regarded prospect that really impressed this preseason and Reid has had a track record of making QBs fantasy stars. Here is what Vick said after the game: “Obviously, he’s thinking...

As of yesterday, Eagles quarterbacks still unaware of who is starting this week

NFL Network’s Jeff Darlington reports neither Eagles quarterback has been made aware of a depth-chart change as of Monday. Michael Vick and waiting-in-the-wings rookie Nick Foles are still awaiting clarity on the situation after coach Andy Reid’s day-after press conference was canceled due to Hurricane Sandy. Darlington suggests the storm could actually force the Eagles to stick...
