Week Three Rankings
At wide receiver DeSean Jackson has seen himself rise all the way to WR1 territory. He looks almost unstoppable with Vick in Chip Kelly’s offense and despite racking up nine receptions for 193 yards he left over 130 yards on the field on passes that he barely missed corralling in. DeSean was always a special talent but is really breaking out in this new system sans Jeremy Maclin.
Josh Gordon returns this week and see himself immediately ranked as a WR2. The Browns have been desperate for Gordon. Brandon Weeden is on the injury report and if he misses the game Gordon will get knocked back to WR3 level.
T.Y Hilton looks to have surpassed DHB on the depth chart after racking up a career high 124 yards and is locked in as a WR3 for the time being.
Eddie Royal continued his stellar play actually topping his two touchdown week one with a three touchdown week three and is locked and loaded as a WR3 option going forward. Many receivers won’t score five touchdowns all sea...
BEST OF MAXIM
Last week the Philadelphia Eagles displayed their new high powered offense to American football fans and other teams alike. Michael Vick finally has the complete offense he hasn’t had his entire pro football career. He has numerous great wideouts in DeSean Jackson, Riley Cooper and Jason Avant, an efficient running back in LeSean McCoy and Bryce Brown, and now has the protection...
Mike Vick tweeted seven words Tuesday night, and it sure sounded like trouble.
Can't believe Clay about to snitch. Smh
-- Mike Vick (@MikeVick) September 18, 2013 Uh-oh. What was this drama about?
Was one of Vick's homeboys droppin' a dime on him over some illicit activities?
Was the Packers' Clay Matthews, who just got fined $15K for a hit on 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick...
Browns receiver Josh Gordon, who was for suspended two games for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy, is now eligible to return to the field for Week 3 versus Minnesota.Fantasy Spin:The second-year receiver has the talent to be a solid fantasy player but will have to grow up. He caught 50 balls for 805 yards and five TDs last season.
The old Michael Vick returned along with Andy Reid.
Vick had three turnovers and got sacked five times as the Philadelphia Eagles lost 26-16 to Reid's Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night.
''I take full responsibility,'' Vick said. ''I didn't get the offense going. I didn't get the tempo going. We didn't play well by any stretch. We didn...
The Browns offense, in desperate need of someone to make a play, welcomes No. 1 wide receiver Josh Gordon back this week. Gordon has served his two-game suspension and is ready to be a key contributor in Week 3.
Eagles 30, Chargers 33, Sunday, September 15, 2013
After week one, we were all like: “Hey! Maybe the Eagles D isn’t too bad!”
Turns out, the Skins are just that bad this year.
Stud of the week: Michael Vick, clearly, who had a career day with 428 yards, two thrown TDs, one run TD, and no turnovers. DJax had a good day, too, as did Shady, with a career receiving day...
The Philadelphia Eagles came into their Week 2 contest against the San Diego Chargers with the confidence and hype of their revamped offense, led by quarterback Michael Vick. The offense showed up as expected, registering 507 total yards. The Eagles battled back as they were down for most the game and were able to tie the game at 30-30 with little under two minutes left in regulation...
Aaron Rodgers, Michael Vick and Philip Rivers each passed for at least 400 yards and did not throw an interception today. That is the most such performances in a week in NFL history.
After the best and most exhilerating week one to date, week two of the 2013 season was sure to not be outdone on excitement. From upsets to last second wins, each game had a reason to tune in. Mike Wallace had the breakout performance he was hoping for while Mike Vick and the Eagles got stunned by Philip Rivers and his Chargers. Did Minnesota's Adrian Peterson do enough to...
The Philadelphia Eagles have looked unstoppable at times in their first two games of the season under Chip Kelly. Their offense is lightning-fast and looks like it has enough talent to light up almost any opposing defense. Michael Vick has been a major part of that, but it only makes sense to wonder if he […]
Chip Kelly is learning the NFL rule book on the job.
The do-it-his-way coach didn't think he could use a timeout to allow a banged-up Michael Vick to stay in the game during an important moment in the Philadelphia Eagles' 33-30 loss to San Diego Chargers to Sunday.
Upon further review, Kelly learned he was wrong.
''That's on me. I didn't think we could...
The good news is the Eagles scored 30 points and left maybe a dozen more on the table...
The bad news is the Eagles gave up 33...
The Eagles' defense will be under fire today. But truth be told, we already knew that area of combat was our weakest point.
I would like to point the finger more at the offense, who you would be advised to acknowledge has got to do a...
Is it better to be lucky, or better to be good? Is it better to play it safe, or is it better to take risks and play for upside?
If you play fantasy football long enough you will find yourself in this rhetorical debate, and at some point, develop a case of decidophobia, that is, the fear of making decisions.
Specifically, it’s the fear of making the wrong decisions that drives...
