Former Eagles Pro Bowl linebacker Jeremiah Trotter, who had worked out with the team twice in the last week, has signed a one year contract with the team, according to Jay Glazer on Twitter. Trotter will likely take the spot of Jeff Garcia, who should be released now that Donovan McNabb is coming back.What Trotter will bring to the team is obvious: leadership. While he hasn't played since 2007 and his skills have certainly diminished since the last time he suited up for the Eagles, Trotter still has a veteran presence that the Birds defense has lacked since Brian Dawkins left. Trotter may not get much playing time, although he could be brought in for running situations and special teams, but he should have a huge role in the locker room.Welcome back, Trotter.
