Razzball Nation!  The 2012 Fantasy Season is approaching!  It’s great to be back and never too early to start thinking about how to field your best squad. What better way to start planning for your upcoming drafts than to think about sleepers.  And just like your friendly proctologist, I’m going to start with the Tight End. Back in the day, it used to be, “Tight End, who gives a Fells?”  Then the position started going bonkers when Antonio Gates could play on both feet and Tony Gonzalez caused more carnage slam-dunking than Darryl Dawkins. Entering 2011, the position had come full circle and died down yet again.  Gates was the prettiest girl of the bunch, but they all kinda blended together into one of those not-quite-ugliest but definitely not-one-of–the-hotter sororities.  Just have enough beers and you’ll take when you can get.  Then arose the power of the Gronk!  You like Gronk!  Gronk no take ugly sorority girl he take porn star! With 2012 comes the year of the highly drafted #...

Ronnie Hillman to the Broncos: Fantasy Analysis

The Denver Broncos traded up to draft running back Ronnie Hillman in the third round. Every time you see a team trade up for a player, you expect the team to get that player involved early and with KnowShown Moreno a PUP list candidate, Hillman should have every opportunity to carve out a change of pace role behind starter Willis McGahee. Hillman uses his blocks well and has displayed...

Denver Broncos’ rushing attack will go from first to worst under Manning

Let’s face it. Low rushing totals are a byproduct of the pass-friendly league that is now the NFL. Teams pass so much now that it seems like they sometimes forget to run the ball. This is especially true of teams that have a signal-caller the quality of a Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers or a Drew Brees. Manning who usually called his own plays as quarterback of the Indianapolis...

Denver Broncos Fire GM Xanders

The Denver Broncos have fired GM Brian Xanders. Fantasy Spin: Xanders held the GM position in Denver since 2009, and will not be around to see the AFC West club defend their division title with prized offseason acquisition Peyton Manning under center. He will likely find another job in the NFL, and does have ties to Chicago GM Phil Emery (through their time spent together in the...

Denver Broncos sign CB Drayton Florence

The Broncos needed a 3rd cornerback for next season after cutting Andre Goodman. Goodman was owed 4.62 million in 2012 and at age 34 in August, he was an easy cut. Florence is getting up there in age as well, turning 32 in December, but at 4.5 million over 2 years, he’s a better value. Neither cornerback is particularly good. Andre Goodman ranked 75th on ProFootballFocus last year...

Broncos sign free agent CB Florence

The Denver Broncos have agreed to terms with veteran free agent cornerback Drayton Florence, who was released by the Buffalo Bills last week. Florence is a 10th-year pro whose release from the Bills was regarded as a mild surprise. He had 45 starts in 46 games during his three-year stint with Buffalo. But he was slated to make $4 million in base salary this season and the Bills...

Brandon Marshall says Jerry Rice couldn’t even succeed if he played in Miami

Whether their ownership group likes it or not, the Dolphins currently have a nasty stigma attached to their organization. At the moment, it feels like nobody wants to play there. Miami was considered a front-runner to land Peyton Manning when he hit the market, and we saw how quickly that fell apart. Then it appeared they would sign Matt Flynn, but but Flynn ultimately chose Seattle...

Hot News for QB Peyton Manning

Teams need more than just a quarterback to win

This offseason has been characterized by quarterback changes. Manning to Denver, Luck drafted by the Colts, Griffin drafted by the Redskins, Tebow vs. Sanchez, Weeden vs. McCoy; they're all great story lines, but they also highlight a growing perception that may just be completely off base. You need a quarterback to win a championship. That's completely true, but you also...

The NFL is full of more excitement than ever. Blockbuster trades, Bountygate, Peyton Manning, Tim Tebow………the NFL gets more popular, and sensational every day. Meanwhile, the Steelers are their normal, boring selves. Thank goodness for that. Every year when free agency opens, the fans in all NFL cities hope to see what big name player [...]
