Raising Zona:
Add another former Cleveland Browns player to the Arizona Cardinals roster.
The Cards added FB Charles Ali today. Apparently talks between the Cards and incumbent FB Dan Kreider broke off and are no longer negotiating, prompting the Ali signing.
Ali joins former Browns, QB Derek Anderson and Director of Player Personnel T.J. McCreight, in the Cardinals family.
Not real huge news, but the Cardinals have proven this off-season to quickly fill vacant spots, as evidenced by other losses to free agency since the season ended almost four months ago. I’m not sure filling the roster with former Browns will do the trick, but I suppose a body with NFL experience is better than an inexperienced one, right? Unless of course you are talking about the recent draft picks.
