LONDON, ENGLAND - OCTOBER 25: Wes Welker (#83) of the New England Patriots is tackled by Ronde Barber (#20) of Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the NFL International Series match between New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Wembley Stadium on October 25, 2009 in London, England. Wes Welker was a pain in the you know what to Bill Belichick and the Patriots while he was on the Miami Dolphins, so much so Belichick traded for him in 2007. Welker came to New England a virtual unkown, but has emerged as the premier slot receiver for which every other receiver is graded against. The Patriots go to Miami to play the Dolphins today, Welker's old stomping grounds but he doesn't mind just visiting. Welker spoke to Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald about coming to New England. "This has been a great situation for me, coming here. I think how I’ve done against them compared with other teams is completely random and accidental," Welker said. "I’m familiar with the field, the stadium, and things like that. But I try and bring it every week no matter who we’re playing. It just kind of turns out I’ve had some good games there. . . .  I just guess (collectively), they’ve been better than most. But you’re only as good as your next game. And it’s the next one coming up." Tom Brady added: "Wes has been an incredible player since the day he got here," Brady said Wednesday. "He was a great player down there when the Dolphins had him. . . . He’s just a great person and teammate and player. He’s everything you look for in a teammate — his work ethic, his attitude, his ability. He’s very selfless; he does everything that he can to help the team win. There’s no better teammate than Wes Welker. I’m glad he’s on our team. I’m glad I’ve had the opportunity to play with him for as long as I have."
