Week 3 has come and gone. With the Browns and Panthers coming up victorious in their respective matchups, we are still left with six winless teams in the NFL.  While these teams are only one measly game behind a slew of playoff favorites who sit at 1-2 (San Francisco, Green Bay and Atlanta), some of them simply don’t have the talent or a favorable enough schedule to overcome a rough start and make a push to get into the playoffs. Let’s take a team-by-team look at these losers: Pittsburgh Steelers: The Steelers missed the playoffs last season despite a better start to the season than they are off to this year.   Losing Larry Foote and Maurkice Pouncey for the year was devastating but there is hope: They have lost to two of the best teams in the NFL right now (Bears, Bengals) and one of its most surprising (Titans), and the schedule gets easier from here on out with two against the Browns plus the Jets, Bills, Raiders and Vikings on the horizon. Antonio Brown is a legitimate #1 receiv...

Pittsburgh Steelers: “Takeaways” from the loss to Chicago

Last week I spoke too soon. This week I must eat my words. I was very confident the Pittsburgh Steelers were going to defeat the Chicago Bears. Evidently I was wrong, very, very wrong. What can we takeaway from yet another loss? Let’s start with what the Steeler gave away. The Steelers gave the ball away five times during Sunday night’s game. Turning the ball over five times...

It’s time for the Steelers to fire Todd Haley

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a mess, but mostly on offense and that’s why they must fire Todd Haley. Now I will admit I’ve never liked Todd Haley as an offensive coordinator or a head coach, and I don’t take much satisfaction in calling for any person to lose their job, but this is a business. And so far Todd Haley has taken what Bruce Arians’ left and turned it into one...

Captain Hindsight to the Rescue Week 3

Week 3 might go down as one of the strangest weeks in fantasy history.  Or maybe I just have short term memory loss.  It seems like every year we have a week or two where sh*t goes awry.  Welcome to week 3 in the NFL.   More Bite Than Bark The Brownies were the butt of a bunch a jokes (none here of course), but they didn’t come out today like they were trashing their season...

David Todd: Quick Thoughts – Steelers Versus Bears

By David Todd The Steelers lost their third game 40-23 to the Chicago Bears at Heinz Field Sunday night dropping their record to 0-3 for the first time since 2000. The Steelers out-gained the Bears 459-258 yards, Ben Roethlisberger led all NFL quarterbacks in week three with 406 yards passing...
