FOXBORO, MA - AUGUST 20: Vince Wilfork #75 of the New England Patriots smiles during warm ups gainst the Cincinnati Bengals during their preseason game at Gillette Stadium on August 20, 2009 in Foxboro, Massachusetts. (Photo by Jim Rogash/Getty Images)
Last week, we heard Rodney Harrison talk about how he hated the current Patriots defensive scheme. He had a hard time watching them play a passive zone against the Steelers. We also heard him knock the organization’s decision to let Leigh Bodden go. The former Patriot great is an analyst for NBC.  So what might Vince Wilfork, who won a championship ring in 2004 with Harrison, think of critical words from his ex-teammate? Does he take those words to heart? For the full answer, check out tomorrow’s NFL Sunday notes. But here’s a little tease. Wilfork essentially takes on the critics. He claimed he pays no attention to what Harrison, Tedy Bruschi, or anyone else who played for the Patriots and is now commentating for various media outlets has to say. ”I could care less about people on the outside looking in. Or if you played for us, or played for Bill Belichick somewhere down the line,” Wilfork said. ”I could care less what those guys have to say.” Check out the item in tomorrow’s Herald.
