Here are some random quick hits for June 28th with my quick thoughts on each topic.

Revis gets mad respect from his fellow NFL players

The NFL implemented a change, does this affect Jets games?

Tebow, the Home Wrecker?

Hit 1:  Revis Voted #5 of the Best in the NFL by his Peers

Revis is the last of the shutdown corners. The guy can own half of the football field just by showing up to work, a point that shouldn’t be overlooked in today’s pass-happy NFL. And it’s not a surprise he was the top defensive player in the Top 100.

Revis is the best defensive player in the league as voted by his peers.  Yup, I’ll take that.  Overall he was voted the 5th best player in the league.  I honestly was tweeting last night that I thought he would land to the 3rd spot.  Of course a Patriot has to be voted higher, some QB, but overall only two Jets made this list.

Check out what I had to SAY this morning:

The kickoff time for Sunday late afternoon doubleheader games on CBS and FOX will be moved from 4:15 PM ET to 4:25 PM ET, the NFL announced today.

The 4:05 PM ET kickoff time for games not on the doubleheader network will remain unchanged. The 4:25 PM ET kickoff time will reduce instances in which fans miss the end of a 1:00 PM ET game telecast because they must receive the opening kickoff of their home team’s late-afternoon game. In addition, fans not in the cities of the late doubleheader opponents will be less likely to miss the beginning of the late doubleheader game.

In researching the kickoff time shift, the NFL analyzed games from the 2009-11 seasons and found that 44 games required part of the audience to be switched to a mandatory doubleheader game kickoff. With a 4:25 PM ET kickoff time, that number that would have been reduced by 66 percent to only 15 games.

This change affects two Jets games and they are both on the road.  So…. I’m good.  I come in from PA and any delay for my trip home would kind of stink, but 10 minutes still is no big deal.

Fans shouldn’t have a problem with this change.  Obviously the big reason the NFL implemented this was to avoid an overlap that happened quite a bit from the 1pm game going longer.

Hit 3:  Tebow is the second highest voted Home Wrecker

Dream all you want, Tim would NEVER do it.

If you ask woman what athletes they would cheat on their spouses with you’d get a Hall of Fame roster.

AshleyMadison.com, the website that caters to those looking for extramarital affairs, polled 13,500 women on that exact question. Actually they asked for a top 3.

Here are your leaders:

David Beckham, 43.1%; Tim Tebow, 19.5%; Tom Brady, 17.9%, Derek Jeter, 16.5%; Alex Rodriguez, 13.2%; Cristiano Ronaldo, 11%; Michael Phelps, 10.5%; Peyton Manning, 9.6 %; Aaron Rodgers, 9.5%; Kelly Slater, 9.2%.

Dumb, just dumb.  This is what we are polling people for?  I’m so glad that Ashley Madison exists.  SMH.  On a stupid note, at least a Jets player beat out a Patriot.  See Hit #1 where Revis lost to Brady.

Shonn Greene’s Make or Break Year with the Jets

Is it Shonn Greene’s time? In the 2009 NFL Draft, the New York Jets made headlines trading up to the number 5 pick in the first round to draft Mark Sanchez, quarterback out of USC.  One day later, the Jets, again, traded up to snag running back Shonn Greene in the third round out of theUniversityofIowa.  With all of the attention on newly hired head coach Rex Ryan, and newly...

New York Jets' 2012 NFL Draft Review: Quinton Coples, Stephen Hill and Demario Davis

It's been about two months since the 2012 NFL Draft and while it's far too early to give a final take on the players the New York Jets selected, we have been able to start getting a feel for how they will fit in with the team. Is it too soon to be "reviewing" the Jets 2012 NFL Draft picks? Probably, but the 2012 NBA Draft last night got us in the mood to...

2012 Post Draft Winners/Losers: New York Jets

The anemic Jets offense can bear much of the blame for a 2011 season that ended without a trip to the playoffs. Mark Sanchez will enter his 4th NFL season in what many deem to be a make or break year (especially with Tim Almighty breathing down his neck). The Jets passing game ranked 21st last season but should get a shot in the arm with the addition of WR Stephen Hill (2nd round...

Brick's Way: New York Jets' D'Brickashaw Ferguson to Sign Copies of Children's Book

New York Jets left tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson took a break this offseason from preparing to protect Mark Sanchez's blind side to write a children's book titled "Brick's Way." The book is all about teaching kids about "going green," with D'Brickashaw Ferguson turning into Litte Brick to teach his friends. To promote the book, which...

GJ Kinne tweets “I definitely didn’t get a fair shot”; released from Jets?

GJ Kinne, down in the depth chart for QB, tweeted that he didn’t get a fair shot.  So apparently the Jets have parted ways with the undrafted rookie. GJ had an incredible story if you remember, where he experienced an event where his Father and coach was almost killed.   GJKinne God has a plan 6/28/12 2:13 PM I definitely didn't get a fair shot,...

Jim Kelly hopes the Jets have a lot of “turmoil” during training camp

Getty Images Like many people, former Buffalo Bills great Jim Kelly doesn’t know what the New York Jets were thinking when they acquired Tim Tebow from the Broncos. “I gotta be honest: I don’t know what (the New York Jets) really were thinking,” Kelly told NFL Network’s “Total Access” on Thursday, per NFL.com. “Mark Sanchez is a quarterback who’s going to be sitting...

GFY NYJ: “Sexy Rexy” In All His ’94 Mullet-Ness (PHOTO)

(PHOTO: Twitter) It’s NEVER to early to bring the hate for the New York Jets and Rex Ryan. Patriots fans everywhere should take great pleasure in seeing this picture of “Sexy Rexy” circa 1994. How could women and their feet resist Rexy with his porn stache and his “East Bound & Down” haircut? Actually perhaps he looked better THEN than NOW? Is it October 21st yet...
