For a team that plays in the second-largest NFL media market, the Chicago Bears get about as much respect as the former Rodney Dangerfield. The Chicago Bears had a fine off-season by addressing needs through the draft and free agency, but the so-called “experts” are fixated on the loss of long-time center Olin Kreutz (now with the New Orleans Saints) and the trade of tight end Greg Olsen to the Carolina Panthers. It’s to be expected considering how ESPN ranked the Chicago Bears 13th in their opening poll (and closing out the season at sixth last season despite going to the championship game last season and barely losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers with Caleb Hanie playing quarterback and Todd Collins taking meaningful snaps from under center). Here’s an example of how the “experts” don’t always pay attention…the Philadelphia Eagles signed a cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha from the Oakland Raiders who had 19 tackles...
