In what seems to be a yearly affair, the Buffalo Bills are taking on the Cleveland Browns this Sunday in Cleveland. There are a few things to watch for in this game before one can make a solid prediction on the game. Rookie running back Trent Richardson showed the league what he is capable of last week by earning his first 100-yard game. Richardson is elusive and powerful. The Bills defense will have to be strong against the run, which on paper doesn’t look good. The Bills are ranked in the bottom half of the league against the run, however, both of Buffalo’s games were blowouts, which could mean the run game got extra attention. Buffalo will have to improve while Cleveland uses Richardson to carry the offense. Rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden is the oldest rookie quarterback in league history. He is 29 and showed last week what he could do in a losing effort. The offensive line must protect Weeden all game or he may start making mistakes. The Bills secondary is getting better as t...

Trent Richardson: “My mom always told me never to let anyone tell me what I can’t do.”

For Browns fans there is a must read piece in Cleveland Magazine (available online as well) written by Tony Grossi about the rookie RB- Richardson’s mother, Katrina, and grandmother, Gloria, raised the family of three boys — Trent, 22, Terrell, 25, and Terrence, 28. For a time, they lived in block-O shaped low-income housing tucked behind a Wal-Mart. Addicts and dealers were...

Browns Running Back Trent Richardson Chooses The Wrong Day To Be Less Than Ordinary Jim Brown Was There

Trent Richardson had a terrible day working out of the Cleveland Browns backfield against the Buffalo Bills today. Richardson only rushed for 27 yards on 12 carries for a 2.3 yard per carry average. For Trent Richardson and Browns fans, this performance couldn’t have come at a worse time. Not only did the Browns need a productive day to help with their less than productive offense...

Jim Brown finally sees greatness in Trent Richardson

During the offseason, Cleveland Browns great Jim Brown went out of his way to let everyone know that he thought Browns rookie running back Trent Richardson was just “ordinary”. Not only did he say it once, he later clarified his statement so he could add that he still didn’t see anything special with Richardson. Of course, Richardson took the high road, but many wondered how...

Browns' Richardson rolling

Trent Richardson has a quick response when Browns coaches ask him if he needs a break during games. ''I'm good,'' he tells them. Last week, Richardson was much better than good as he rushed for 109 yards and scored two touchdowns, one on a spectacular run after catching a short pass in Cleveland's 34-27 loss at Cincinnati. The first-round draft pick lived...

Trent Richardson will get to meet Jim Brown on Sunday

Cleveland Browns Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown said Trent Richardson was just another running back in April, now he’ll get to meet Richardson this Sunday. Brandon Weeden: “We’ve got to start faster, and that’s on us.”

Brandon Weeden after the Browns’ 24-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills- “I think, and I’m speaking offensively, we started too slow. I think after a week like we had last week, that’s disappointing. I think that’s the difference in some of these games. I think you just can’t be where we were in the first half, 0-5 or 0-6 on third down and doing some things early and expect...

Idle chatter: What to expect from Week Three

1. Trent Richardson, Brandon Weeden and the Browns offense showed signs of life last week. Taking into account not just this weekend's matchup but the road ahead, are you buying the Browns offense as a unit on the rise? Pat McManamon: Of course. If you dont, its a long, dim road ahead. The way the two played in Cincinnati, though, gives legitimate hope that they may be the right...

Browns Brandon Weeden 27 of 43, For A 5.5 Yard Average, 2 Interceptions & 4 Sacks Moves the Browns To 0-3

The Cleveland Browns named Brandon Weeden quarterback because they didn’t think Colt McCoy had the arm strength to compete in the NFL. They said Brandon Weeden had a strong-arm with laser like accuracy, they said this guy was going to help the Browns win football games. If you don’t know by now who they are we are talking about the brain trust running the Cleveland Browns football...

If The Cleveland Browns Expect Brandon Weeden To Be Successful Against Buffalo He Needs To Avoid 3 Guys

The Cleveland Browns take on the Buffalo Bills this Sunday in what could very well be Brandon Weeden’s last game this season if he is not protected well. Weeden is just starting to show some promise playing in the NFL, he played well in Cincinnati but lets face it, the Bengals don’t have the defense the Buffalo Bills have. Weeden was outside the pocket a few times by design in...
