With the first two days of Training camp out of the way, the real fun begins. The pads goes on, the contact begins, and Bill Belichick still gives his daily run-arounds with the media. But that doesn't mean that everything is all fun and games now. There is a lot of good, don't get me wrong, but there is also a decent amount of bad. 1) Tebow better shape up... FAST The first day of camp brought a new QB to the field, Tim Tebow. The crowd at opening day was pumped up and excited to see how the newest addition to the team would look, and lets just say that it wasn't what people were expecting. In 11 v. 11 drills, Tebow threw two interceptions, a fumble, and ran twice.. Not good at all, and not nearly enough to be able to make the roster opening day. This continued on day two, and prompted Albert Breer to tweet out: On Tebow today ... Same issues as normal. Slow to pull the trigger, long delivery a problem, etc. Attached at the hip to McDaniels, tho. — Albert Breer (@Alb...

Josh McDaniels: Tim Tebow will be playing quarterback not receiver

Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels made it clear today that Tim Tebow will be playing quarterback and not receiver this season. McDaniels went on to explain why Tebow has been working on his pass catching and ball carrier skills in camp “He’s just practicing his open-field running,” McDaniels said, via the Boston Globe. “Matt Cassel and (Doug) Flutie and some of...

Don't blame just ESPN for Tebow-mania

Since Tim Tebow came into the NFL, he's been an attraction, like a circus sideshow. ESPN, rightly so, gets most of the blame for hyping Tebow. He hasn't started a regular season game in over a season, but yet everywhere he walks on a field, there are cameras following his every move as if he is actually the royal baby.Alas, ESPN isn't the only guilty party. While watching...

Same ol' Tebow in first Pats practice

Sick to their stomachs over Aaron Hernandez, Patriots fans may find it a relief to start talking about how much Tim Tebow does or doesn't stink, and whether or not he'll make the New England Patriots. Tebow opened camp Friday, and more than one observer was unimpressed. Practice over. Tebow horrendous. #patriotstalk -- Tom E. Curran (@tomecurran) July 26, 2013 Curran...

Tim Tebow Participating in Ball-Carrier Drills Because of Ability to Scramble at Quarterback, Josh McDaniels Says

FOXBORO, Mass. — While watching the Patriots’ first three training camp practices, it’s easy to notice Tim Tebow is doing a couple extra drills that Tom Brady and Ryan Mallett are not participating in. One of those drill has Tebow running down the field with a football while a defensive player trails him trying to force a fumble. Another drill has Tebow catching the ball,...

10 Thoughts on Patriots Training Camp, Day 4

Stew Milne, USA TODAY Sports 10 thoughts on Monday's practice, the fourth of Patriots' training camp and the second in full pads.  Leon Washington and Danny Amendola look very, very smooth returning punts. The run defense looks excellent. (Or is it that the run offense looks terrible?) Either way, the Pats front seven consistently stonewalled the first team o’s run attempts...

Vince Wilfork Says Playing Against Tim Tebow Benefits Patriots’ Defense in Preparing for Dual-Threat Quarterbacks

FOXBORO, Mass. — Tim Tebow hasn’t looked great at Patriots’ training camp so far, but the defense seems to like having him around. Vince Wilfork praised the Patriots third-string quarterback on Monday ahead of the team’s season-ticket holder practice inside the game field at Gillette Stadium. He spoke specifically about Tebow’s mobility as a quarterback — something the...

“I think Hooman and Zach have worked hard, they’ve certainly taken advantage of the reps they’ve gotten. They’ve definitely gotten more.” - Bill Belichick on the tight end position via ESPN Boston

Brady trying not to be 'grumpy old guy’

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is 35, but he says he will exercise caution and try to be patient with his young crop of wide receivers during training camp.

‘The Patriot Way’ sounds like a buncha garbage

Something we have heard more and more the past month or so is the term ‘the Patriot Way.’ It is some philosophy that has brought great success to the New England Patriots franchise, but nobody can really define it. Even with that being the case, everyone was criticizing it in the wake fo the Aaron Hernandez situation. Team owner Robert Kraft probably isn’t doing himself and...
