PLAYERS: Peyton Manning
As we all know, Eric Decker is a free agent this year. He could be the biggest name in the pool, but some people are doubting his skill. I think any team in the NFL could take a WR like E-Deck. If he doesn’t re-sign with Denver I can see a few teams jumping to trap him. I would like to see teams like the Seahawks, Bills, Patriots, Jets, or the Browns go after him.  It’s hard to imagine Decker wanting to leave a team with Peyton Manning, a living legend, under center. “It’s not all about the money for me. It’s about going to work every day and having fun and enjoying my job.” the receiver said on SiriusXM NFL Radio. Sounds like Decker may be on his way out sometime soon. I wouldn’t be surprised if one those teams I listed earlier panicked and took Decker right out of the gates. Decker is the only wide-out free agent that has the potential to be a number one WR, or a very high end number two. Hopefully Decker lands where he is happy and has a decent QB with him. He was a stud on my fa...

Twitter loud-mouth: Peyton Manning to call it a career, retire soon

There was a bit of growing buzz in New York during Super Bowl week that if the Denver Broncos won the Super Bowl Peyton Manning would retire. After the 43-8 shellacking at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks, that chatter quickly died… until yesterday afternoon. **BREAKING NFL NEWS**Source: Broncos (QB) Peyton Manning “Leaning” towards calling it a career. Super Bowl XLVIII: The Groundhog Day Massacre

Now that we are two weeks removed from the Groundhog’s Day Massacre, aka Super Bowl 48, it’s easier to reflect. My mind and heart are no longer clouded with unbridled emotion. Am I over the loss? No way. Getting over a Super Bowl loss is harder than accepting the fact that Mufasa actually does die in The Lion King. But the proverbial pain of getting punched in the gut has subsided...

In terms of NFL likability, Peyton Manning and Michael Vick are on opposite ends of the spectrum

Peyton Manning and his Denver Broncos certainly stunk in the Super Bowl, but apparently, we still really, really like him. In fact, Manning is the most likable player in the NFL, according to REPUCOM, a global marketing research company that tracks the popularity of celebrities. Manning beat out Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers -- he of the "discount daaah-bul check" ...

Eric Decker on free agency: ‘It’s not all about the money’

Eric Decker is expected to be one of the top unrestricted free agents available in March.  But the Broncos wide receiver says money won’t be his only factor when he decides on whether or not to re-sign with Denver. “It’s not all about the money for me. It’s about going to work every day and having fun and enjoying my job,” the veteran receiver said on Sirus XM NFL Radio...

Fantasy Football Quarterback Review – Drew Brees

Second only to Peyton Manning among quarterbacks, Drew Brees totaled 348 fantasy football points for the 2013 NFL season. Keeping up with his outstanding career, Brees eclipsed 5,000 passing yards for the third straight year and for the fourth time in six seasons, (4,620 and 4,388 in 2009 and 2010). Add in his average of 43 touchdowns a season during his last three-year block Brees...

Bust City: Indy’s worst receivers in draft history

We all know with great risk can come great reward. But sometimes those risks do not work out and you end up with nothing. That is what happens come every draft day in the NFL. Some players will turn out to be what you expected, some will surprise you and turn out better, and some will bellow bellow expectations and be labeled a bust. The Indianapolis Colts have had luck in the department...

On "forcing it" by gambling on quarterbacks early

Earlier this week, Jacksonville Jaguars general manager David Caldwell spoke candidly about the difficult debate regarding when and how to draft a potential franchise quarterback. We know that you can't really win without a top-tier quarterback nowadays, but at the same time, taking swing after swing can be incredibly costly. Some of it is luck, as we've seen, for example...

Shaquille O'Neal Can Still Block--as Long as the Competition is Four Feet Tall

I have no idea what this is from; apparently some program on truTV. I just can't stop laughing each time I see Shaq Daddy practically swatting the ball while it is still in this poor girl's hands. Does anyone else see this and think of that Peyton Manning skit on SNL? @SBNationGIF/Twitter Loading...

How do you size up against a football player? Take the Wonderlic to find out!

We all know “that guy,” the one sitting there on the couch next to you, chugging beers and chomping on hot wings, declaring to the world, “I could do better than that!” Well, while it’s incredibly unlikely any of us armchair quarterbacks could sling the ball like Peyton Manning (or even Tim Tebow, let that sink in), there is the possibility we could match wits with NFL...

How It's Made: The Denver Broncos

In our second installment of "How It's Made," we move on from the Super Bowl champions to the Super Bowl losers. It's funny how fans feel like losing the Super Bowl is just as bad as not making the playoffs at all. Getting crushed in the Super Bowl does not mean that the Denver Broncos are officially some mediocre team. They are still the cream of the crop -...
