Since Sunday night, I've basically not thought about the Eagles.  I read the posts and comments here, but for the most part, nothing was going to make me feel any better and as we're seeing in more than one area of discourse these days, blathering on after ... Well, you get my point. Anyway, with the benefit of a little space and perspective, I think I've latched on to the core area of discontent -- we don't know whether the arrow is pointing up or down. After a 2008 season that again ended in an NFC championship game loss, there was a sense of stasis.  Things were pretty much as they had always been, which wasn't quite enough, but it's a little hard to complain when you make the final four. Last year ended in brutal, embarrassing fashion.  The Eagles were badly outclassed, twice, by a team that then went on to win six games the following year, an object lesson in why it's dangerous to draw sweeping conclusions about teams based on the vagaries of sho...
