After taking the weekend to digest the Giants complete deconstruction of the Panthers last Thursday, there are many things to be concerned about. The defense looked like Swiss cheese against Eli Manning and a motley crew of back up receivers. They also made Andre Brown, a guy who has been on six teams in three years, look like Terrell Davis as he rumbled through tackles all game long. But the most shocking result of Thursday’s loss was the play of one Cam Newton. This was supposed to be Newton’s time to shine, his first primetime game with whole country watching, and his play was disappointing to say the least. He completed 16 passes on 30 attempts, threw three interceptions and a whopping total of 6 yards on the ground. Time and time throughout that game he had an opportunity to put his team on his back and will them to compete in that game and he failed to answer the bell. To make it worse, when Ron Rivera pulled Newton late in the blowout cameras showed Newton sulking with a towe...

Cam Newton denies he’s seeing a Psychiatrist

Cam Newton is under fire again because of the way he handles losing and how his disposition affects those around him. Cam Newton downplays Smith's criticism

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Like brothers, Cam Newton and Steve Smith have already moved on after a brief moment of not seeing eye to eye. Hey, sometimes...

Panthers must respond well to loss

The last thing true competitors want after suffering a taste-altering defeat is to have to sit and stew about it for an extended period of time. Most want to get right back out there and eliminate the residue of the pain. The Carolina Panthers had no option following their 36-7 home loss to the New York Giants last Thursday that was actually worse than the score indicates. Thats...

Superman Found his KryptoniteAfter a record-shattering rookie season in 2011, Cam Newton is experiencing what is known as the "sophomore slump" in the NFL.
