By Brian MacPhersonFOXBORO -- Aaron Hernandez and Wes Welker both have joined the social-networking site Twitter in recent days, becoming the latest in a series of Patriots to do so.
When will Bill Belichick sign up?
"Never," he said. "You'll never see me on Twitter or MyFace or Yearbook or any of that. ... Before I could join any of those, I'd have to know what they are."
Welker, who had close to 20,000 followers on Twitter within an hour of posting his first status update on Tuesday, followed with, "Don't tell Bill I'm on here! Thanks!"
Too late. The cat was out of the bag by the end of the session Belichick held with local media on Tuesday. Hernandez and Welker -- both at the urging of prolific Twitter user Chad Ochocinco -- were registered to share their thoughts with the world.
"I'm glad to hear that," Belichick deadpanned.
