IRVING - Cowboys OLB DeMarcus Ware is the third most dominant defensive player in the NFL, according to a Sports Illustrated poll of nearly 300 players. Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth ranked first with 19 percent, followed by Ravens S Ed Reed, Ware, Steelers LB James Harrions and Ravens LB Ray Lewis. The poll comes at a time when Ware is struggling to get to the quarterback. For the first time since his rookie season in 2005, he's gone four consecutive games with a sack. Last year, he led the league with 20. Ware finished Monday night's 21-7 win over Carolina with two tackles and one quarterback hurry. He nearly dropped Jake Delhomme in the first quarter. Maybe with Victor Butler (two sacks against Carolina) coming on, Wade Phillips can develop a rotation at OLB that will allow Ware to stay fresh and get more pressure.
