Only one game and two teams remain. For everyone else, the calendar (both in real terms and in the football world) has turned to 2014. Next season is now this season for 30 NFL franchises. Thus, it’s time to start assessing where everyone stacks up heading into next year. Who will bounce back? Who will fall off? Who has made good hires? And who has made bad fires? The regular season ended just three weeks ago, but the shape of the NFL landscape has already changed. Here’s how the cover32 editors see it shaping up as 2014 dawns: 25. Houston Texans – 2013 was a nightmare in Houston, one that seemed to never end. A two-win season cost Gary Kubiak his job and will probably do the same for Matt Schaub. The Texans will be better next season, though they will go only as far as their quarterback (whoever that turns out to be) will take them.
