Anthony Armstrong became a Miami Dolphins sensation during OTAs of 2009. The former Arena League standout, who had just spent the past season on the Dolphins’ practice squad, was unstoppable on offense when the team wasn’t wearing pads. The Texas speedster could get behind any defensive back with ease, and if the ball was put on the money Armstrong typically delivered a big play. “I know how fast and how dangerous he is,” coach Tony Sparano said about Armstrong. Could the Dolphins have used Anthony Armstrong's speed? Then training camp came, the pads got put on, the drafted rookie receivers (Brian Hartline and Patrick Turner) got caught up with the playbook, and Armstrong suffered a hamstring injury. The less he practiced the further he fell down the depth chart. The Trifecta grew impatient with his slow recovery and cut him before training camp finished.
