Former Titans running backs coach Jim Skipper has been hired for the same position with the Carolina Panthers.
Skipper coached with the Titans in 2011 and 2012. Prior to that he was an assistant in Carolina.
The Titans opted not to renew Skippers contract after the season.

The Panthers have promoted quarterbacks coach Mike Shula to offensive coordinator, Joseph Person of the Charlotte Observer. This according to a source with knowledge of the situation said Friday.

Virginia Tech QB Logan Thomas decided on the last possible day to declare for the 2013 NFL Draft that he will return to Virginia Tech for the 2013 season as a senior. Thomas entered the 2012 season with high expectations but struggled through a disappointing season. The 6 foot 6 inch quarterback threw 16 interceptions to just 18 touchdowns last season.
