Ben Roethlisberger emphatically stated that he would gladly skip a Steelers game rather than miss witnessing the birth of his child.
The bewitching hour has come and gone as the Pittsburgh Steelers have boarded their plane and left for Denver with no news that wide receiver Mike Wallace has received a long-term deal.
While their is a very tiny, tiny, tiny chance that they just are keeping it hush, it wouldn't make sense for them to do so and in all likelihood Wallace will now have to play out his fourth...
The Pittsburgh Steelers have landed in Denver and Mike Prisuta of DVE Radio reports via Twitter that no contract extensions are anticipated pre-kickoff. Unless you have been hiding underneath a rock, you know that is regarding wide receiver Mike Wallace.
Prisuta reports in his tweet that one team official said, "We'll try again next year."
You always put your kids first and that is not something that has been lost on the previously-troubled quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
The Steelers leader is currently awaiting the birth of his son and has already gone on the record to state that no matter what the cost, he will be there to welcome his child into the world later this year.
