While we’re waiting for Benson news …

As Cedric Benson’s hearing continues in New York, there are a couple other bits of news to report: In what is not a surprise, Sunday’s game against Buffalo has been officially announced as blacked out, extending the streak to six games. Besides working out Larry Johnson, NFL Network’s Jason LaConfora reported that the Bengals have Clinton Portis in for a workout. Portis worked out for the Titans last week and previously had workouts with the Dolphins, Patriots and Seahawks. Portis has played in only 13 games over the past two seasons. He played in only five games last year due to a groin injury and had 227 yards on 54 carries with two touchdowns.
