ATLANTA -- Roddy White is starting for the Atlanta Falcons against the New York Giants after missing practice all week with a sore right knee. White, the Falcons' leader with 1,140 yards receiving on 77 catches, continues his streak of not missing a game since he was drafted in 2005. Chris Hope will start at safety for William Moore, who is inactive with injured ribs. Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks also is active after being limited in practice by a knee injury. As expected, the Giants are without leading rusher Ahmad Bradshaw due to lingering knee and foot problems. David Wilson is starting at running back. Cornerback Prince Amukamara (hamstring) and safeties Kenny Phillips (knee) and Tyler Sash (hamstring) also are inactive for New York. Jayron Holsey is starting for Amukamara.

Roddy White on getting ready for the playoffs: “I’d rather play pedal to the metal"

The Atlanta Falcons are fighting an image problem, no one takes them seriously. The top seed in the NFC doesn't have much back up in the confidence department, especially in their hometown. A loss to the Carolina Panthers stoked those fires even further, however, the playoffs are around the corner and the Falcons will be in the hunt, but the general public hasn't caught...

The Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders are Amongst Tops in the League

The NFL season is slowly coming to a close.  Playoffs should be extremely interesting and no matter what I’m sure we’ll see some great commercials during the Super Bowl.   Speaking of the NFL, I realize that I never share photos of one of the best resources the NFL has to offer:  the cheerleaders. That’s because [...]

Falcons rebound from loss to rout Giants

ATLANTA As statement games go, the Atlanta Falcons could not have made a more emphatic one on Sunday. Coming off a humbling loss to an inferior opponent, the Falcons took advantage of two first-half interceptions to jump all over the New York Giants en route to shellacking the defending Super Bowl champions 34-0, delivering a hit to the Giants playoff chances in the process. ...

New York Giants at Atlanta Falcons: Three Bold Predictions

Roddy White admits that the Falcons used to be scared of other teams

The Atlanta Falcons swagger captain is hands down, without a doubt veteran receiver Roddy White. White can thump his chest and talk trash with the best of them. He has every right to, to a certain degree as his team is 12-2. Boom. Right now they are the best in the business with only the AFC’s Houston Texans holding a similar record. So as is his nature, White is taking it upon...

Falcons-Giants: Report Card

PASSING GAME Falcons After falling out of the MVP race with a five-game string of mediocre-to-awful outings, Matt Ryan returned to form against the Giants, exacting revenge with a 23-of-28 passing performance for 270 yards. When it was all over, he had three touchdowns and no interceptions. Ryan surpassed his own franchise record for passing yards in this one, as he now has 4,202...

New York Giants Get Punked By The Atlanta Falcons 34-0

Former NFL running back Jamal Anderson pleads guilty to reckless driving

On Monday, former Pro Bowl running back Jamal Anderson pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of reckless driving. Falcons squash Giants in shut-out victory

The Falcons laid a beatdown on the defending Super Bowl champions, routing the New York Giants by a score of 34-0. It marks the first regular season shutout of the Giants since 1996. It is also the first time the Falcons have shut out their opponent since a 24-0 win over the Oakland Raiders in 2008, and their first time doing so in the Georgia Dome since a 30-0 victory over the Carolina...

New York Giants should expect different Atlanta Falcons team than they saw in 2011 Playoffs

Too much of this week’s talk is based on January’s New York Giants’ home playoff win against the Atlanta Falcons at MetLife. It shouldn’t be. Stop with the “two points” talk. It’s nearing the end of the 2012 NFL season and while the Giants are the reigning World Champions, that game was technically a part [...] [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for...

Atlanta Falcons at New York Giants: Week 15 NFL Pick

New York Giants (8-5) at Atlanta Falcons (11-2) Every year in the Tom Coughlin era, the Giants have a 2nd half slide. Since he took over in 2004, they are 53-19 in the first 8 games of the season and 29-40 in the second 8 games of the season. This year has been no different as they started 6-2, but thanks to a 2-3 stretch, they are now 8-5, not bad, but not as good as it once looked...
