Found October 19, 2011 on Cleveland Sports 360:
Chris Ogbonnaya has been picked up by the Cleveland Browns as a running back. Mainly because the Browns are uncertain as to the extent of Peyton Hillis ability to play with his new hamstring injury he suffered in the Oakland game. Chris Ogbonnaya has a history with Browns quarterback Colt McCoy, the two of them played in Texas where Colt McCoy won lots of football games. Chris Ogbonnaya also has a brief history with Browns head coach Pat Shurmur.  Ogbonnaya playee dwith the rams for a short while win Pat Shurmur was there. Maybe getting Chris Ogbonnaya will brong some sort of level of comfort to McCoy who clearly looks uncomfortable this year as the Browns starting quarterback. Ogbonnaya was currently on Houston’s practice squad. He played in four career games with 14 rushing attempts for 56 yards and one reception for 19 yards. This season, he has totaled three carries for six yards, while appearing in two games with the Texans.  He was born on May 20, 1986. Ogbonnaya will wear No....

Is Colt McCoy Regressing in His Second Season in the NFL?

I’ll start this article by stating that I have been a Colt McCoy supporter since the moment the Cleveland Browns drafted him in the third round in 2010. In fact, I was in panic mode when they didn’t take him in the second round with the pick that became Montario Hardesty because I didn’t think he would last until pick No. 85. McCoy was the quarterback I wanted the Browns...

Browns sign running back

The Cleveland Browns have signed running back Chris Ogbonnaya to their active roster from Houston's practice squad. The team also waived rookie running back Armond Smith. Ogbonnaya (O-BONN-I-ah) played in two games for the Texans this season, carrying three times for six yards. He was originally drafted in the seventh round in 2009 by St. Louis, where he was with Browns coach...

Mike Holmgren Tries to Calm Down Cleveland

I didn’t have a chance to transcribe it word-for-word, but in case you missed it here is what “The Big Show” said during his press conference today.  And before I go any further, you need to understand the tone that he used the entire time was light with a lot of chuckling almost as if he couldn’t believe how big a deal everything is underneath the microscope right now....

Browns should beat the Seahawks on Sunday - Comment of the Day

"This is a team we could, and probably should, beat. Wish Haden could play opposite Rice. That will be a big issue. Seahawks can only stop the run but we're a passing team. If we can contain McFadden, at least compared to what he was doing to other teams, Lynch shouldn't be a big problem. Cribbs playing more special teams should help things. I think Little will get his...

Browns dealing with more Hillis drama

No matter the coast or the opponent, running back Peyton Hillis can't seem to outrun the drama with the Cleveland Browns.

Relating Pat Shurmur to Eric Mangini is Foolish

By pretty much all accounts, I think the Browns made a mistake sticking with Eric Mangini an extra season.  It is all hindsight now of course, and don’t take this as a criticism of Eric Mangini.  If anything, any critical words I might have for this period of Browns history are directed at owner Randy Lerner who authored the Eric Mangini / George Kokinis debacle.  In the end...

Is Colt McCoy the better version of Tim Tebow?

Last season Colt McCoy made his NFL debut against the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Going into that game plenty of people didn’t think he would survive let alone fair well enough to earn another start.  But he did.  A week later he made his second start against the reigning Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints.  The Browns, who were 13 point underdogs, beat the Saints that week. ...

Seattle's secondary to be a primary target

RENTON -- The Browns offense is well-armed as it prepares to host Seattle on Sunday. It has to be considering all the times Cleveland has passed the ball this year in what amounts to a Seismic shift in offensive tendencies under first-year coach Pat Shurmur.McCoy threw 61 passes in Cleveland's game against Tennessee two weeks ago, and he threw 45 passes in Oakland on Sunday.Compare...
