[caption id="attachment_270" align="alignnone" width="300"] Mark Sanchez gets up slow after throwing an interception.[/caption] It seems as though this will be the last season the Jets keep saying "Mark Sanchez is the right guy for the job." He hasn't played well at all, and that's probably a bit of an understatement. Although to his credit, the Jets are all around terrible. They are currently with out their number top two wide receivers, Santonio Holmes and Stephen Hill. Hill is not worthy of being a starter this early in his career, he is very inexperienced and drops a lot of passes. So even if they are healthy its tough for him to look good. That being said he has thrown four interceptions and isn't even completing 50% of his passes.  So obviously the media and the entire football fan base is back in their Tebowmania phase. Their has been talk all over the place since yesterday about giving the ball to Tim Tebow for the rest of the season and see what he can do. Rex Ryan stated "Nows not the time." But if Sanchez has another horrid game, which is a good possibility because they play the undefeated Houston Texans next week, look for a quarterback change. Look for Tebow to be the starter in week 6 against Indianapolis. Either way  Tebow isn't a quarterback for the future. So what are the possibilities for next season? Draft Prospects Matt Barkley, USC- He could be a good option, if they wanted to risk drafting another Trojans QB Geno Smith, WVU- He is currently the Heisman favorite, and draws comparisons  to RG3, but their is a lot of season left. Logan Thomas, Virginia Tech- Who is similar to Josh Freeman and Cam Newton is a top prospect, but his play has tapered of recently. Other Options- Tyler Bray, Tyler Wilson, Landry Jones among many. It may be time for the Jets to bench Mark Sanchez

The San Francisco 49ers are a good football team, but that's no excuse for laying a goose egg on offense. That's exactly what the New York Jets did earlier today when they were whipped in every phase of the game by the 49ers, losing by a score of 34-0. There's two big story lines in this game for the Jets. Their defense was awful once again this week. It's difficult...

Mark Sanchez: President Of The Future Ex-Jets Of America

"Gang Green" has been turning their fans red for years now. It has been said that the Jets are cursed. The worst part is when they look like they have gotten past all of the negatives and appear to be contenders. Then something inevitably happens, and wipes it all away. This year however, doesn't feel that bad. That is IF you prepared your mind for it. All the signs...

Is it time for a “Sanchez-ometer” in New York?

Tim Tebow threw his first pass of the year yesterday, a week later than I predicted.  Surprisingly he was able to complete it, leaving his success rate for the season at a very impressive 100%.  Unfortunately the 1-1 performance didn’t do much for his career completion percentage (aka the Tebometer), which is still only 47.5%. But the Jets backup QB can take solace in the fact...

Ryan says Sanchez our guy, Holmes ruled out for week 5

New York Jets’ coach Rex Ryan reiterated during a Monday press conference that Mark Sanchez is their quarterback. “He’s definitely our guy,” Ryan insisted. “I know this is killing him. He’s going to want to respond.” Many fans have been talking about Tim Tebow, thinking his time is coming since [...]

Sanchez struggling, opens door for Tim Tebow

The New York Jets and quarterback Mark Sanchez struggled against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday, opening the door for Tim Tebow to see more snaps. The 49ers beat the Jets, 34-0, at MetLife Stadium.  Sanchez went 13-of-29 for 103 yards and an interception. Coach Rex Ryan doesn't believe its time for a quarterback change. “I don’t think that’s the answer, I think Mark...

The Tuesday Muse, Week 4: Things Are Heating Up in the Meadowlands, and other happenings

After Mark Sanchez’s poor showing against the 49ers on Sunday, the Tebow Watch has officially started.  Gary Myers would like to give Sanchez until Halloween to fix things, while Peter King thinks Sanchez will last a couple more weeks.  Kevin Kernan wants to start Tebow now, as does Vinnie Iyer, and Michael Tomaso thinks that the Jets actually stuck with Sanchez in Sunday’s...

FN Follies: It's Decision Time For Jets - Mark Sanchez or Tim Tebow?

In Week 4, the NFL reached an agreement with its referees and ended its long, national nightmare (a.k.a. replacement refs). With that fiasco over, the media is now able to focus on an old favorite: Tim Tebow. After suffering a humiliating 34-0 defeat to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, the the New York Jets are reeling. To make matters worse, wide receiver Santonio Holmes suffered...

New York Jets add a new wide receiver, calm yourself

Are the New York Jets really setting up QB Mark Sanchez to fail? After learning that veteran WR Santonio Holmes has suffered a Lisfranc injury and will likely be out for the season, the Jets needed to add another receiver to the roster. The usual stable of veteran names cropped up; Plaxico Burress, Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson. New York has reportedly signed, wait for it……...

Santonio Holmes done for season with Lisfranc injury

Things keep getting worse for the New York Jets. First, Darrelle Revis, arguably the league's best CB goes down and is done for the season. Then they get absolutely beat down by the 49ers on Sunday, and now they learn that receiver Santonio Holmes will be out for the rest of the season, not a few weeks as many thought. Although is was floated around as a possibility, no one...

Report: Jets owner could push for Tebow

Just when New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez received a vote of confidence from his head coach, the team's owner is reportedly pushing for a change, according to an report. Johnson could reportedly "push" Rex Ryan and Mike Tannenbaum to start backup quarterback Tim Tebow, who came off the bench to lead the Denver Broncos to the playoffs last season...

Woody Johnson could push for Tim Tebow to start

Right after the New York Jets traded for quarterback Tim Tebow this past offseason, owner Woody Johnson was adamant that Mark Sanchez is their starting quarterback going forward. “I’m going to be very clear: Mark Sanchez is our starting quarterback. Period,” Johnson said at the time, per ESPNNewYork.com1. “That’s it. He’s our starting quarterback.” During Johnson...

Wanted: A QB Who Can Throw Football, If Found Call New York Jets

The New York Jets had goals for the 2012 season.  We wanted to challenge the Patriots and bring New York Football back from Big Blue to Gang Green. Mark Sanchez was supposed to breakout this year.  He was going to become the next Peyton Manning.  As of right now, none of those goals are going to happen.First of all let me just make something perfectly clear.  Tim Tebow should...
