Well, there is another week in the books and I am pissed in how it turned out.  This was my second worst weekend of the season and I am still in shock.  I guess this makes the critics happy and those who enjoy longer blogs happy.  I wanted to write this last night, but I needed a good nights rest to cool off.  This weekend I went 8-6 and I am 95-35 (.731) for the season.  I am not taking this weekend very well, especially since I am working for the perfect weekend.  Now that I have had the chance to cool off, I will run through who let me down this week.  So, without any further due, lets get this done:

Quarterback Matt Cassel #7 Of The Kansas City Chiefs Is Sacked By Kevin Burnett #56 And Cameron Wake #91 Of Of TheWe come to the first game of the weekend.  My only morning loss, even though I wasn’t going to be perfect for the weekend, I was alright with going 6-1 for the first 7 games.  But it was like the Kansas City Chiefs playing poorly was what set the tone for the rest of the day. It was like the endzone was kryptonite.  Matt Cassel was 20-39 for 253 yards and they rushed for 343 yards as a team.  All those numbers were just as good as the Dolphins, hell they even had the ball 10 minutes more then the Dolphins.  The only difference is that the Dolphins could punch it in the endzone.

Tim Tebow #15 Of The Denver BroncosThen there is the Broncos/Raiders game.  Not sure if I know who to point the finger to on who let me down.  Me? For knowing Oakland wasn’t that good and still picking them anyway.  Oakland? For letting a Tim Tebow led team come back and beat you. Or Tim Tebow?  For playing above our expectations.  I pick, ummm, ummm, Tim Tebow.  I am not jumping on the Tebow wagon, I am a Buckeye for crying out loud.  The facts are facts and even though he did not have a good game for a traditional quarterback, he did better then everyone thought and he did bring his team back from behind to win by 14 points.  Say what you want, I know McGahee had 163 yards and Royal had a punt return.  Two things, the effort, attitude, and motivation are fed to team from Tebow and those players were there with OrtonKyle Orton had the chance to win with the same players so even though Tebow’s performance sucked, he has rounded up the troops and will follow him into any battle.

Arizona Cardinals' Patrick Peterson (21) Breaks Away From St. Louis Rams' Chris Chamberlain, Center, To Rush For TheThen there was the St. Louis Rams vs Arizona Cardinals game.  I kept bouncing back over to this game while watching the game I was watching.  I honestly thought that getting to see the Rams get two safeties and not allowing Arizona into the endzone for most of the game, I would be fine.  The Rams even had both Bradford and Jackson back and together.  Then to flip over to watch the defense collapse with 4:51 left in the game was disappointing.  Then to watch the Rams punter punt the ball to the most dangerous punt returner to come out of college in years, Patrick Peterson.  Hello, he has already returned two in his rookie of the year campaign, now with his third, he is heating the race up with Scam NewtonSt. Louis, your offense, defense, and special teams let me down.  So yes, your whole team let me down.

Tom Brady #12 Of The New England Patriots Congratulates

By the time this game had finally come to end, I was already in a bad mood and ready to through my sheet away.  Even though I had a bad day, so did the rest of the football pool and so there I was still in it, lol.  So I held on two my sheet to see how things would play out.  This game didn’t just let me down, it pissed me off.  Eli Manning is NOT, I repeat, Eli Manning is NOT an elite QB.  I am not a big Patriots fan, but more of a fan of talent.  I had a smile on my face as I got to see the Patriots go up with 1:36 left in the game.  Then as I watched an average offense bulldoze down the field against the sorry Patriots defense I got really pissed.  All they had to do was stop this average offense and they suck that bad they couldn’t.  They let the Giants score with :15 left in the game.  I don’t understand what this team does that makes you let them go down the field and have a game winning drive every time.  Patriots, your defense is what let me down.  There needs to be some serious changes.

Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, Center, Is Sacked By Baltimore Ravens' Paul Kruger, Left, AndThen there rolled in the Sunday Night game.  As sorry as the day went to this point, my picks were still good enough that if the Steelers won I was still in it.  As a matter of fact, either team could of won Monday night, would of come down to points.  If the Steelers would of won, I had 52 points and was the highest, so with the total score being 54 from Monday night, I would of won.  But no, the Pittsburgh Steelers had to let me down.  The womanizing, boozing, and unpatriotic Steelers could not beat the unreliable Joe Flaco and Baltimore Ravens.  Really? Really?  At Heinz Field, in November, and the division on the line and you get into the fetal position and let them beat you?  I don’t know what has happened to this division, but it really is sad.  This team sits in third place over half way through the season.  You scored with 4:56 left in the game, seriously, I mean seriously, you couldn’t hold them for 8 more seconds??  I had enough football for the day at this point, couldn’t even bring myself to watch and NFL shows, needed a good break.     Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Michael Vick (7) HeadsWith the weekend shot and no chance of winning the football pool, I was focused on hoping the Eagles would come through so I would at least do a little better.  Instead of letting me go 9-5, they decide to give up a late lead as well so make me fall to 8-6.  The Eagles really let me down, they are running out of time to get to the top and claim the division that is there for their taking.  Washington and Dallas are having many issues and the Giants will have their annual meltdown and Eli Manning will be brought back down to reality.
