Chicago's loss to Denver was like a punch in the stomach that you saw coming but couldn't stop. But there were some players who stood out more than others.
Grizzly Bears -- the Bears who tamed the bucking Broncos
Israel Idonije -- Though he was angry at himself for not blocking the game-winning field goal, Izzy was the star on defense. He blocked a field goal, recovered a fumble, and made four tackles.
Craig Steltz -- The blonde from LSU makes this list again for stepping up when the Bears have to deal with an injury. He had a sack, five tackles, and forced a fumble.
Adam Podlesh -- Punters are rarely noticed, but in a game that is scoreless until late in the third quarter, punters are crucial. Podlesh had 11 punts, getting four inside the 20 and averaging 47.8.
Robbie Gould -- The Bears know they can count on Robbie Gould because he is one of the league's most reliable kickers. But from 57 yards? Even in the thin air of Denver, it seemed improbable....
