You’re probably sitting there right now telling yourself that the Patriots are screwed.
Well, maybe they are—or maybe they aren’t.
For starters: I like to believe that they’ll be just fine. Why? Well, it’s simple really and my explanation consists of only two words: Tom Brady.
With Aaron Hernandez doing his best OJ. Simpson, Ray Lewis and Plaxico Burress impersonation and is now likely slotted in as a perennial All Star in the prison football league; along with Rob Gronkowski proving that he’s made of glass and likely won’t be ready by Week 1 of the regular season—all of Patriots nation is feeling a little bit like Bill Paxton in Aliens.
But hold on a second—you still have one of the National Football League’s best players in Tom Brady. And let me remind you: The NFL is a quarterback’s league.
With that being said, let’s take a look at some possible candidates that could emerge as Brady’s go-to receiver in the 2013 campaign.

New Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker has no qualms about discussing his hair transplant procedure, saying, "It’s nothing to be embarrassed about."
Poor Tom Brady. The guy is so good but I’m starting to think a downgrade in his ranking is just around the corner. Captain Brady is still no doubt one of the best quarterbacks in the game but it’s his supporting cast that has been making headlines during the offseason.
You, by now, know all about their star tight end Rob Gronkowski who has been hampered by multiple injuries that...
Within days of draft, Hernandez threatened Welker--PFT:
In an anecdote near the bottom of a longer report, it was mentioned that Hernandez was at the team facility trying to watch film, when he grew frustrated at not being able to operate the equipment. Wide receiver Wes Welker walked by, Hernandez asked for help, and Welker replied: “Rookie, you figure it out.”
Denver Broncos wide receiver, Wes Welker, was in Boston last night taking questions before attending the Bruins game.
When asked if he felt the New England Patriots undervalued him during free agency he replied “Unfortunately, it’s the business side of football and as a player you understand it. So, you just move on and look toward the future.”
Welker said all the right things...

A number of designers have taken their shot at redesigning the Denver Broncos’ helmets and uniforms to their liking.
Could you imagine Peyton Manning, Wes Welker or Von Miller wearing something like this?

Per Ian Rappaport of NFL Network: @RapSheet: Rob Gronkowski will begin the preseason on the PUP list, per source. Expected. But important to know it will happen (as opposed to likely) This is a huge loss especially with the ongoing investigation of Aaron Hernandez. This could get ugly quick. Maybe this is why Tom Brady wanted to keep Wes Welker so bad, that decision could be the...

There always has to be someone at the bottom no matter what position, or sport. Some of the guys on the bottom are still at a stage in their careers where they can still climb out of that spot and end with a good name. Not everyone can be as good a Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, or a Drew Brees, but you can still be a successful QB in this league without that. But these guys on this...
Aaron Hernandez has generally been regarded as a decent person. After receiving a contract extension from the Patriots, he donated $50,000 to the Myra Kraft foundation.
That's the reason this homicide situation came so out of left field. No one thought Hernandez could be involved in something like this.
However, since Tuesday more reports have come out on Hernandez's past...
High hopes were set for the 2013 New England Patriots with the thought that both Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez would be healthy and on the field contributing for Tom Brady and the offense; it now appears that those plans are coming to an abrupt end.Gronkowski has undergone his fifth surgery, this time on his back, leaving him doubtful to start the season at tight end; and it...
