Who will it be? Husky Head Coach Update 11/28

I'm going to rank the coaching candidates in my opinion of who is most likely to be hired along with a blurb of new information regarding the coach. Here was our last update [1]


Who's off the list?
Gary Pinkel-has signed an extension with Missouri
Will Muschamp-announced he will be the next Texas head coach, eventually...
Gary Patterson-has stated he has zero interest in the job

Top 10 Candidates

1. Chris Peterson (Boise State Head Coach)- view our reasoning here, there are conflicting reports saying he's gonna sign an extension?
   
2. Jeff Tedford (California Head Coach)- Can the Dawgs pull him away from a secure Cal job?
3. Pat Hill (Fresno State Head Coach)- believes that the Husky job is the number one job in the Pac-10
4. Dave Christensen (Missouri Offensive Coordinator)-rumored to be interested in the job, has not been contacted though
5. Jim Mora Jr. (Seahawks Head Coach- To Be)- Although he's tried to shoot down any rumors about himself in a statement, the rumors will keep on flying and it's hard to just take him off the list
6. Michael Haywood (Notre Dame Offensive Coordinator)- interviewed by the Huskies, but not a front-runner
7. Steve Sarkisian (USC Offensive Coordinator)- wasn't mentioned in our initial list of coaches, he's interested in the job
   
8. Dewayne Walker (UCLA Defensive Coordinator)-might also be interested in the Utah State head coaching job
   
9. Dennis Franchione (Former Texas AM Coach)-fired for NCAA violations concerning his relationship with boosters
10. Phillip Fulmer (Fired Tennessee Coach)- interested in UW job, not mentioned in our intial list of coaches
    

Probably not: Lane Kiffin, Troy Calhoun, Kyle Whittingham, Bronco Mendenhall,Todd Graham, Les Miles, Marty Mornhinweg, Brian Billick, Mike Leach, Mike Riley, Pat Hill, Michael Haywood, Skip Holtz, Brady Hoke, Brain Kelly, Jim Harbaugh, Norm Chow, Randy Edsall

No Way: Mark Richt, Scott Linehan
