The past few games have been filled with cringing, head shaking, curse flinging, eye covering moments for Packers’ fans everywhere. These moments have been the result of the Packers’ starting kicker. Mason Crosby has been in a bit of a sump this season, and suggestions for his replacement have already surfaced. McCarthy and the rest of the team, however, are standing by their fellow Packer. This season, Crosby’ accuracy of ~61.1% gives him the ranking of 31st in the NFL. That alone seems enough to vote him off the island, but Crosby has never been all that accurate from +40 yards. His career kicking percentage is 60.5% from +40 yards and he has already had more attempts from over 40 yards this season than all last season.… Read more

Finley gives odd post-game interview

GREEN BAY, Wis. Jermichael Finley is tired of getting in trouble for comments made in the media. So, the typically outspoken Packers tight end tried a new approach following the 23-14 win Sunday over the Minnesota Vikings. Finley, who has talked openly over the past year about his lack of chemistry with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, caught six passes for 60 yards against Minnesota...

Offensive Line Mess Could’ve Been Avoided

Transition from Bryan Bulaga to T.J. Lang at right tackle hasn’t gone smoothly I, a blogger who knows more about F. Scott Fitzgerald than Larry Fitzgerald, saw this coming months ago. How one of the best GMs in the National Football League didn’t is mind-boggling. From the time the 53-man roster was set in early September, the Packers were playing with fire on the offensive line...

Barclay Provides Lift and Options for O-Line

Not only was rookie free agent Don Barclay not a liability when he replaced T.J. Lang at right tackle, his rock-solid performance helped get Green Bay’s running game jump-started and kept quarterback Aaron Rodgers mostly upright.

Packers Use Balancing Act to Beat Vikings

Aaron Rodgers was aided by a good running game while the Vikings had nothing but Adrian Peterson. With the Packers pitching a second-half shutout, they beat the Vikings 23-14 and stayed right in the heart of the playoff race.

Packers find Ponder is Vikings' weakest link

GREEN BAY, Wis. Assessing the Packers' defensive performance in their 23-14 win over the Minnesota Vikings depends greatly on how a team values each statistical category. Allowing 210 rushing yards to Adrian Peterson is about as bad as it gets, but with that production being coupled with only 119 passing yards, while giving up just 14 points and forcing two key interceptions...
