Since the release of Terrell Owens, some people have embraced Roy Williams as the new #1 starter, but the majority of fans have no confidence in him. I do realize he is no "T.O.", but honestly, not many players are of that caliber. However, Roy has impressed a lot of people in his college days and at times in Detroit. The native Texan was considered one the most talented receivers to ever play for the Texas Longhorns. In 2004 he was drafted in the first round (7th overall) by Detroit. Williams best season by far was 2006. Racking over 1300 yards, Roy lead the NFC in yards and led the NFL with 24 passes of 20 or more yards. I really don't think you can judge Roy after last season. He was up against Terrell Owens and its really hard for any player sharing the ball with Owens to get big numbers or the chance to make plays.
