SAN DIEGO - 2009: Norv Turner of the San Diego Chargers poses for his 2009 NFL headshot at photo day in San Diego, California. (Photo by NFL Photos)
If the 2012 free agency period thus far is any indication as to the upcoming season for the San Diego Chargers then Bolt fans can bank on another disappointing year.  Following the Chargers 2011 season finale victory against the Oakland Raiders, amidst swirling speculation that head coach Norv Turner would be fired, quarterback Philip Rivers

  • I agree 100% with everything you mentioned about the Chargers. (which is unusual for me.) Egomaniacal AJ Smith, the real problem, continues to play the 'Smoke-and-Mirrors' management mentality to owner Dean Spanos. (For God sake, Dean take the wool away from your eyes and smell the coffee.) There are reasons why AJ Smith wouldnt pay the price to keep big time players, ie: Darren Sproles, Vincent Jackson, Drew Brees, etc., etc. He makes a bonus on how much money he DOESNT SPEND! It's AJ Smith greed as to why the Chargers havent gotten to the Superbowl. Coach Turner calls the game 'not to lose' and designs plays for the players to fit into his system, instead of designing plays that take advantage of the players strengths. Everybody knows that Norv is going to run on 1st down. (The entire population of Nigeria won 3 Sheckles and a goat on that bet, last year.) If the 'D' adds a cover corner and a pass rusher, the Chargers have a good chance to made the playoffs. But, as so many AJ Smith years gone by, 'greedy is as greedy does.'
  • THANK YOU!!! Finally somebody get's it! Best review and assessment on the current and so current sorry state of affairs of my chargers. You hit every nail on the head- while so many get lost. The downturn of the chargers from a 2 loss team that fired the coach to the mess that is now is all right here.
