The most important part of any sport is obvious – winning. When the New York Jets traded for quarterback Tim Tebow, they weren’t only acquiring his talents, but they also got his fame and what I don’t understand is, his “problems.”

These “problems” are pointed out by the haters. Now, it’s no mystery that Tebow under-throws and over-throws his receivers. I understand that. But what I don’t understand is how his poor completion percentage and all of that outweighs everything else. And I don’t understand how all this criticism doesn’t surround the “starter” Mark Sanchez. So let’s go under the scope of Sanchez vs Tebow and see who really has the “problems.”

So yes, Sanchez has the experience with three seasons starting under his belt compared to Tebow who has less than one. But that’s it. That’s all he really has on him.

Look at those numbers, and try and tell me for one season, as the partial starter that Tebow’s stats are bad for a rookie. Sanchez didn’t exactly take over at QB and shine in his first year, nor his second either statistically. So looking at those numbers and listening to the beginning of my ramble, answer who is better.

Ok, now let’s really look at the difference between the two. Who cares how the job gets done and who cares how boring it may be because in the end, what matters is scoring, not turning over the ball. And we all know the most important thing, WINNING.

If by now you aren’t understanding the purpose of this comparison, you should probably stop reading. It’s quite obvious that these “problems” Tebow has are no different than the “problems” Sanchez has. Putting Sanchez under center is about as safe as putting JaMarcus Russell there, no offense to him or his fans, if there are any.

Sanchez is about as mediocre as QB’s come and his numbers clearly state that if you actually look at what’s important. And don’t get me started on how he got a 5 year, $58.25 million deal for what he’s done.

So, now that you’ve been educated on the important parts of what these QB’s do, lets see what your vote is now.

If your vote is still for Sanchez, you either clearly don’t understand football or you are too biased because you are a hater of Tebow.

The moral is simple; Tebow scores, wins and takes care of the ball, Sanchez doesn’t. End of story.

I don’t understand how the Jets aren’t starting to realize this and unfortunately for them, they didn’t make the great move to pick up Tebow until after they poured money into there soon-to-be backup Sanchez.

But there is no need to dwell on the past.

The future of the Jets team is with Tebow and the sooner they realize it, the sooner they will be back in the playoffs.
