So while the game tonight is going to be a battle over some of the lower spots on the depth chart, the rookies, even starter Mo Wilkerson are expected to be out on the field tonight against the Eagles according to the Daily News.
Do not expect the starters to play against the Eagles. Ryan will sit most of them, save for rookie defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson. The coach also said DT Kendrick Ellis would play extensively.

With fullback John Conner walking around in a protective boot this week, Ryan maintained that he expects him to be ready for the opener. He added that the team would look at former fullback Tony Richardson if Conner missed extended time, but said he was a long way from there.
"I’m not a doctor, but I don’t think it will be a big deal," Ryan said.
Hmm…sounds like it might be a little while for Conner to get back, but if Rex is confident in his backup plan then that’s a good thing. It just means that if the Jets have to bring on To...
