Found December 14, 2011 on The Jets Blog:
This weekend the Jets will be facing one of the season’s very best running backs in Philly’s LeSean McCoy, so it’s good news that Mike DeVito might be back in the lineup for the Jets.  According to Jane McManus on ESPN NY, DeVito practiced today for the first time in quite a while. For the first time in two weeks, Jets defensive end Mike DeVito was on the practice field in uniform with the Jets. He has missed two games with a knee injury. With the offensive firepower that this Eagles team has, having all hands on deck is going to be very important.  DeVito is one of the league’s best run stopping defensive lineman, so his ability to play would make a big difference in facing such a good running back.

Sanchez & Jets starting fast, clicking on offense

Slow starts are a thing of the past for the suddenly clicking New York Jets. Mark Sanchez and the once-struggling offense have become an efficient group that has gotten on the scoreboard early during the Jets' three-game winning streak. And, they've done it against some pretty good defenses. Here comes another one this Sunday in the Philadelphia Eagles, who are coming off...

Could The New York Jets Make The Playoffs At 10-6?

Maybe I have lost some of my optimism, but I believe it is worth considering the possibility of the New York Jets not running the table, and maybe winning just 2 of their final 3. Does that scenario leave them a realistic chance of being the AFC’s number six seed? It just might… They have built a one game lead over Oakland, Tennessee, and Cincinnati. We already know they...

Jets add Gerald Alexander

The New York Jets have lost safety Jim Leonhard for the rest of the season.  They’ve filled his spot on the roster with veteran free agent Gerald Alexander. The team announced this evening that Alexander, cut by the Dolphins last month, has been added to the team. A second-round pick in the 2007 draft, Alexander…

Washington State Hires Jets Intern Mike Smith

Weeks posted a fantastic article last week depicting the relationship between Jets intern Mike Smith and linebacker Aaron Maybin.  Maybin credits Smith for his resurgence and as a result the two have become extremely close.  Thus, it is worth noting that Smith has decided to leave the team to become the linebackers coach at Washington State. MIKE LEACH HAS gone to the NFL for...

NFL Week 15: Playoff Picture Remains Blurry

There are only three games left in the 2011 NFL season. Where did the time go? Despite heading into week 15, 21 teams technically remain alive for a playoff spot and we are only sure about one thing when it comes to seeding, that Green Bay will be number one in the NFC. Let’s take a closer look – AFC Houston (10-3) Baltimore (10-3) New England (10-3) Denver (8-5) Pittsburgh...
