Found November 05, 2012 on NFL Trade Rumors:
Dolphins left tackle Jake Long‘s rookie contract is set to expire at the end of this season. The former No. 1 overall pick has recently struggled, which has caused some to wonder if he’ll ever return to the player he once was. “It is clear the pending free agent and former No. 1 overall pick is not the player he used to be. Long has battled injuries and played below his usual level for a couple of seasons,” writes ESPN.com’s James Walker. “He struggled again against defensive end Dwight Freeney in a 23-20 loss to the Indianapolis Colts (5-3). Long spent a lot of time on the ground, getting penalized and trying to stay in front of Freeney. Coming off his rookie contract, Long may aim to be the highest-paid lineman in the NFL. But it’s been more than a year since he’s consistently played at an elite level.” The Dolphins are faced with a big decision this offseason with Long. Left tackles are at a premium and Long could demand a lot of money on the open market. As Walker noted, the Dol...

Time to Vote…..for Dolphins mid-season grades

The Miami Dolphins are officially at the midway point in the 2012 season.  The Miami Dolphins currently sit at 4-4 an alone in second place in the AFC East, as well as one game back of the two AFC wild card spots.  The Miami Dolphins season has been a bit of a roller coaster as they started 1-3, then improved to 4-3 after a 3 game winning streak, only to fall back to .500 on Sunday...

Dolphins defense bends AND breaks versus Colts in 23-20 loss

The Miami Dolphins entered Sunday’s game with a chance to move into a first place tie in the AFC East.  The Dolphins did a good job in the first half, their offense was moving the ball and scoring points.  The Dolphins defense was allowing rookie Andrew Luck to move the ball, but limited the Colts to just 13 points (thanks in part to 2 missed Adam Viniteri field goals).  However...

Jimmy Wilson becoming a playmaker for Miami

Last year, Jimmy Wilson, 7th round pick out of Montana, was given the opportunity of a lifetime, start at cornerback versus the Cleveland Browns in week 2.  Needless to say, Wilson played well with an interception, but the excitement was tempered as he allowed his man, Mohamed Massaqoui to get over and above him on a fade route in the corner in the end zone...

Reggie Bush’s nasty 18 yard touchdown run (video)

Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush is having another very strong season since living New Orleans. Check out this 18 yard touchdown run that Bush pulled off.  It’s sort of reminiscent of his college days.   var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI...

Bush breaks ankles for sick touchdown run

Tweet Remember when Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush used to routinely make defenders look silly at USC? Well, Reggie has still got it, as he proved on this sick move to shake the Indianapolis Colts defense for a TD: That’s as good a cut as you will ever see in football. I guess all that [...]

Brian Hartline Expected To Play

Pro Football Talk reports that Dolphins wide receiver Brian Hartline is ready to go for Sunday's game in Indianapolis. He had been listed as questionable with a groin injury.Fantasy Spin:Hartline hasn't been productive at all since his monster Week 4 game against Arizona (12 grabs, 253 yards and a touchdown). If you have better receiving options, go ahead and use them as...

WATCH: Reggie Bush’s vintage 18-yard touchdown run

Talk about a resurgence: Reggie Bush has turned back the clock this year, and has looked like the same guy that was taken with the 2nd overall pick back in 2006. After many disappointing seasons in New Orleans, Bush has seemed to found his game in Miami with the Dolphins. Maybe it is the coaching scheme, or maybe it is the South Beach hotties waiting for him after the game if he...

Dolphins Injury Report: Ryan Tannehill, Matt Moore, Brian Hartline

Miami Dolphins starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill and wide receiver Brian Hartline are both considered questionable to play today against the Indianapolis Colts, reports Brian McIntyre of Yahoo! Sports. However, Tannehill is listed as "questionable," which means there's a 50/50 chance he won't play, in which case the team would turn to Matt Moore. Tannehill...

Terry Bradshaw apologizes for saying Reggie Bush was chasing a bucket of chicken

No reason to not believe what Bradshaw is saying.  Here is his explanation for his on air gaffe.   “I’m so sorry if I hurt anybody and I’m shocked I’m in this position. Bradshaw said the comment was just part of a running joke Sunday that Johnson’s “big thing is chicken, Kentucky Fried Chicken. He won’t share it with anybody.” Jimmie Johnson backs us...

Terry Bradshaw Apologizes for Reggie Bush "Fried Chicken" Comment

Terry Bradshaw chose the wrong reference at the wrong time. On Monday, Bradshaw apologized for comments he made during Fox's halftime show when he said Reggie Bush was running "like he was chasing that bucket of chicken." Bradshaw's comment was referencing fellow-analyst Jimmy Johnson, who eats fried chicken every Sunday. Bradshaw told USA Today...

Dolphins Arrive at Crossroads

As the Miami Dolphins reach the midway point in their season, they've also arrived at a crossroads. The Dolphins (4-4) began preparing Monday for two games in five days. With a sweep — and they'll likely be favored in both games — Miami will remain part of the AFC playoff race. Anything less, and the franchise turnaround led by new coach Joe Philbin could stall.

Dolphins QB Tannehill to start vs. Luck, Colts

Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill will start Sunday against Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts, according to ESPN.com. Tannehill, the No. 8 overall pick in the June draft, was listed as questionable with an injured left knee and quad. He was injured last Sunday against the New York Jets. Tannehill practiced on a limited basis during the week. He matches up with...

NFL Midseason Report Card: Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins are certainly one of the more pleasant surprise stories as we reach the NFL midseason in 2012. Many people were not sure what would happen with the Dolphins this season, but the majority agreed that it would not be a year to remember. Miami was beginning all over with a new coaching staff, a rookie quarterback who was viewed as a project and an overwhelming roster...

Indianapolis Colts are surprise playoff threats, as are opposing Miami Dolphins

If the NFL playoffs were to start next week, today’s 1 p.m. matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and the Miami Dolphins, both 4-3, would decide a wild-card spot. The two franchises were a combined 8-24 in 2011. But their surprising presences in the postseason conversation — albeit in a weakened AFC — go to show that the nature of the NFL game (and impressive rookie quarterbacks...
