Will Levis highlights top prospects still available in Round 2 of 2023 NFL Draft

If you can believe it, the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft has already come and done. All that buzz and anticipation. All the mock drafts, simulations, and speculation.

We're one round in, and what a round it was. The Houston Texans somehow pulled off drafting C.J. Stroud and Will Anderson. Running back Bijan Robinson went in the Top 10 (to the Atlanta Falcons). The Green Bay Packers once again passed up on an elite wide receiver prospect to take a defender. Will Levis, once thought of as a potential Top 10 pick, wasn't even drafted.

Speaking of Levis, he highlights the list of some of the top prospects still available for round two. Here they are.

Will Levis, QB, Kentucky:
Levis looks like he could be an elite quarterback prospect. He's 6-foot-3, 232 pounds and has a rocket launcher for an arm. He threw for 2,406 yards and 19 touchdowns but he did also toss 10 interceptions. The year before, he threw for 2,826 yards and 24 touchdowns, but he had 13 interceptions.

He has potential, but also question marks. What's his accuracy really like? Why did Kentucky go just 7-6 last season with him under center.

There's a reason he fell. We'll have to see which team is ready to answer those questions in round two.

Michael Mayer, TE, Notre Dame:
Mayer looks like your prototypical tight end prospect from the early 2000s. He's 6-foot-4, 265 pounds and is great at everything. He can block in-line, but he's also a legitimate downfield threat. He caught 67 passes for 809 yards and nine touchdowns for the Fighting Irish last season. The season before, he went for 840 yards and seven touchdowns.

Many thought Mayer could be a first-round pick, so the fact that he's still available is a bit surprising.

Joey Porter Jr., CB, Penn State:
Joey Porter Jr. has the NFL pedigree going for him and he was also one heck of a cornerback for Penn State over the past few seasons. He's 6-foot-2, 198 pounds, which is great size for a boundary cornerback. He also ran a 4.46 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, so he has good, not great, speed.

Porter Jr. didn't snag any interceptions last season for the Nittany Lions and only had one career pick in college, but he does profile as a shut-down corner.
