In 15 games during the 2011 NFL regular season New England Patriots WR Chad Ochocinco was uncharacteristically out of sync.  With career lows in receptions (15), yards (276) and touchdowns (1), reports surfaced that Ochocinco was struggling and couldn’t stay on the field because he didn’t know the playbook.  With 11 years behind him in

Chad Ochocinco still looks lost in the Patriots offense

Getty Images According to Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe, it looks like New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco is picking up right where he left off last season after fellow receiver Deion Branch had to tell him where to line up on one particular play on offense.  He also jumped offsides and had to run a lap. Ochocinco has been in the Patriots offense long enough that...

My way too early 2012 NFL predictions – AFC edition

Which of these AFC quarterbacks will lead their team to Super Bowl XLVII? Seeing as how we are now closing in on the month of June and most teams are currently conducting or have already conducted their offseason OTAs, what better time than to stick my neck out and make some (very, very) early pre-season predictions? Since rosters are still at their pre-season maximums...

Patriots’ Brian Waters never actually planned on retiring?

The Patriots scooped former Pro Bowler Brian Waters in the preseason last season and he played better than maybe even they could have ever imagined, making the Pro Bowl on a New England line that was one of the best in the league and helped the Patriots make the Super Bowl. However, at 35 years of age, there was some doubt about whether or not he’d return for his 13th NFL season...

Shane Vereen and Stevan Ridley expected to get the bulk of the carries for Patriots

Though they signed veteran running back Joseph Addai, ESPN Boston’s Mike Reiss believes that 2nd year players Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen will get the “bulk of the carries” for the Patriots this year. This would make the most sense, but Bill Belichick is often unpredictable with his running backs and tends to go with experience over anything, which Addai represents. As it...

Struggles continue for Patriots WR Chad Ochocinco

With the New England Patriots simply loaded with offensive weapons and stocked at the wide receiver position, veteran receiver Chad Ochocinco likely has very little room for error in order to remain with New England in the 2012 season. As the Patriots open their first round of OTA’s, Ochocinco reportedly looks as confused in the Patriots offensive sets as he did last season. According...

Wes Welker Scolded by Little Kid in Letter Asking About Super Bowl Drop (Photo)

Kids really do say the darndest things. Wes Welker found that out recently, as he was the subject of a rather angry letter from a little kid named Colombo. The upset Patriots fan expressed displeasure about Welker's Super Bowl drop, asking the receiver why he wasn't able to haul in the fourth-quarter pass. The grammar in the letter isn't perfect, but Colombo gets his...
