(US Presswire Photo) The Denver Broncos will have to make a big decision regarding their backfield in the offseason. Will veteran Willis McGahee return for the 2013 season? In 2011, McGahee signed a four-year, $9.5 million deal with Denver.  In his first season, McGahee ran with authority and benefited from Denver’s zone-read offense, rushing for 1,119 yards on the ground. It was a different story in 2012, as McGahee was productive (167 carries for 731 yards) but also plagued by turnovers (fumbling five times in nine starts). Those kind of mistakes from a 31-year old veteran are not acceptable, and the Broncos haven’t exactly missed McGahee since he went down with an injury and landed on injured reserve. In McGahee’s absence, 25-year old Knowshon Moreno has re-emerged as a starter in Denver and has finally started running like the Broncos hoped he would when they drafted him in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft.  Over his past five starts, Moreno has rushed 115 times for 466 ya...

Chris Kuper listed as “questionable” this week

When the Broncos (12-3) take on the Chiefs (2-13) this weekend, offensive guard Chris Kuper could be on the field.  Kuper is listed as “questionable” after being limited in practice this week. The most likely scenario seems to be Denver resting Kuper this week, giving him two weeks to rest in preparation for the divisional round of the playoffs (assuming Denver secures a first...

McGahee Eligible To Resume Practicing Next Week

Denver running back Willis McGahee (torn MCL, broken leg) who was placed on the IR in November, is eligible to start practicing next week.Fantasy Spin:McGahee could return if Denver makes the AFC Championship, though the team has gotten excellent play out of Knowshon Moreno.

The Broncos can secure home field throughout the playoffs with a win. Playoff scenario preview.

It's easy for the Broncos, they win and they secure the top seed in the AFC. We've made it to the last week of the season.  There is still a lot to figure out in both Conferences and a couple teams still in the playoff hunt. Here's a look at the Week 17 Final Playoff Scenarios: NFC Locked-up: Atlanta Falcons (South, #1 Seed, home-field throughout); Green Bay...

Broncos players say Thomas, Woodyard got snubbed

The Denver Broncos have five players selected to the NFL Pro Bowl, but wide receiver Demaryius Thomas and linebacker Wesley Woodyard are not one of those five.  But their teammates say they should have been selected. Thomas (1,312 yards receiving) is a first alternate while Woodyard is the only player in the league with at least 100 tackles.  He has 113, 5.5 sacks and three interceptions...

Broncos Thomas, Woodyard don't get Pro Bowl call

If it's true that most players earn trips to the Pro Bowl for what they did the year before, then Demaryius Thomas and Wesley Woodyard of the Broncos should start making plans to be there in 2014. The Denver receiver, with 1,312 yards and nine touchdowns, and linebacker, who leads the team with 110 tackles, were among the most surprising omissions from the AFC team announced...

Broncos stay bland but focused

(Eds: Updates. With AP Photos.) By EDDIE PELLS AP National Writer They are 16-point favorites against a team tied for the worst record in the league. With each and every victory over the span of a 10-game winning streak, their once-narrow path to the Super Bowl has grown as wide as an eight-lane highway. But think you'll catch the Denver Broncos looking past the Kansas City...
