RENTON, Wash. (AP) Eight games into his inaugural campaign as starting quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks, Russell Wilson has begun to find a groove. The Seahawks have put more on Wilson's plate in recent weeks as Seattle has gone to the passing game more frequently. Seattle has averaged over 30 carries a game for the season. But of Seattle's four games with fewer than 30 carries, three have come in the last three weeks. Part of that has been because of the increased faith in Wilson. Wilson has responded by putting together two of his best performances in the last three weeks. Wilson rallied the Seahawks from 13 points down in the fourth quarter to stun the New England Patriots. Wilson threw for 293 yards and three touchdowns as the Seahawks won 24-23 at home. Wilson then had his most efficient game last week against the Detroit Lions, going 25 for 35 for 236 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Wilson again led his team to a go-ahead touchdown in the fou...

Can the Seahawks ever be road warriors?

As a lifelong Seahawks fan, that question is something I have pondered over and over again.  The answer I come up with is this:  I just do not know, but it is something that must be figured out in order for them to make the leap from pretender to contender. To be considered a legitimate contender, it simply must happen.  No team can win a Super Bowl, let alone a few playoff games...

2012 moments in time: Seattle Seahawks second quarter report card

Grades Are In The Seattle Seahawks went 2-2 during the first quarter of the season.  As I expected, they split the games in the second quarter of the season as well. After the first half of the season, the 4-4 Seahawks are tied for 7th place in the NFC and are 3rd place in the NFC West. Here is how they got there: At Carolina Seattle won 16-12 Despite having seven penalties and...

Moments in time…The Seattle Seahawks week that was

Yet another close one goes array Too many times this year, the Seahawks have come up just short, we’re talking within a touchdown of a victory. Is it any coincidence that these games all have taken place on the road? This team has been absolutely amazing at home since moving into their new digs at CenturyLink Field, and yet, this same team just can’t seem to find a niche for...

Seattle Seahawks: Week 9 NFL Power Rankings (#14)

Last week: 14 (-0) Record: 4-4 No the sky is not falling with this team. They just went on the road for 2 games. Everything will be fine this week when the play the Vikings back in Seattle, where they play 5 of their final 8 games. They’ll still be right in the NFC playoff mix, but they will have to win 1 more road game. 9 wins probably won’t cut it in the NFC and that’s assuming...

Healthy Rice could mean trouble for Vikings

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. The Minnesota Vikings understand the tease with Seattle Seahawks receiver Sidney Rice very well from his first four years in the league. In the past two years, Seattle has learned quickly that Rice can be one of the NFL's best wide receivers, when healthy. That's been the rub for Rice. The talented, 6-foot-4 receiver has played in 16 games only once...

The Vikings will have at least one new starter in their defensive backfield Sunday when they face the Seattle Seahawks.
